Picking up my TL 3G black on Tuesday!!!

First of all i want to say hello to everyone on the site. I just bought a 2004 tl with about 80k miles...first thing i'm looking for is obviously to tint it. thinking of 5% for the rear and leaving the front because i don't want any tickets and in NJ they are very hard assed over it.

list goes
- tints
- type s tail lights
- trunk spoiler
- window visors all around

now, i know there are thread on some of the things i want.....and i have honestly been searching around and have seen some of the spoilers that i am looking for and stuff.

2 quick questions....
1) the window visors...all around...i was trying to find a semi cheap place to get them, any ideas?
2) the type s tail lights, ive seen the depot ones are semi cheap on ebay but is it worth it to get the oem ones from curry acura in nyc?

the pictures are obviously before it gets detailed and all, will post more soon

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the TL. Pm member AckTL05 for the visors and there are mixed reviews on the depo tails. Personally I have a set and they fit perfectly.

I got my visors at Linex. When i got them it was in Nicholasville KY but id imagine all have them but they did have to be ordered in and were decently priced.

if you want to go cheaper than oem for the window visors, check ebay. if aftermarket shops offer the install they are most likely using the same product you can buy and do yourself.

Looks like you got 07+ base rims on your 04

Congrats on your purchase and welcome!

I would focus on any maintenence that needs to be done before any mods.

fyi 50bucks a window for non-oem visors installed is pretty damn pricey in my opinion

Congrats and welcome. Clean looking car. IMO, the OEM window visors look the best. Some of the others seem to stick too far out from the car.

If your worried about cost of visors here is an awesome idea, how about don't get them! Lol. They actually degrade the look of the car anyway so it's a win win :-)

Congrats on the new car it looks good.

haha thanks yea when i was trying to search for some links i saw some of the posts that u hate the window visors. i just like them because its usually muggy here and after a workout i'd rather crack the window in the rain and not get soaked lol

still appreciate you're input!

+1 on this.
But if you must, I still say OEM is the way to go.

Disagree...I have the visors and like them, especially in the summer when I can leave the windows cracked a bit...they were on my car when I got it so I don't know if they are oem or not.

Well I suppose there is a difference from the people that put visors on as a cosmetic modification to those that use them as they were truly designed for. However with that said, I can still crack my windows just fine without them, otherwise if the windows are closed my climate control is on ;-)

Your right, what I like is with the visors on it is more difficult to see that the windows are cracked, but I do also like the look.

I had the Oem window visors for a while. They lasted about 4 months lol. I dunno, they just didn't look right and they botherd me every time I looked at my car. But, I did like being able to crack my front windows while parked during the summer and not worrying about a squal coming through and getting water in my car. And no one could see they were cracked.

You need the LED board from your existing tail lights- you can get the TL-S lights from AckTL05 here on Azine as well.
