If you're talking about those low end 3 series then I agree - they aren't worth it. Anything that ends in 35 or higher or starts with an M is no joke though.

About a hour after posting this thread i went out to dinner with some friends and we pull up to a red light and a bmw 745 pulls up next to me and he looks over at me and tells me to roll down the window..he gave me a thumbs up and said great looking car. told me he almost got the tl-s as a backup car to his bmw but got a lexus instead(didnt say what kind) , I said you made a mistake and then the light turned green and sped off haha. Im hoping he didnt get an IS-f because then i would of sounded like an idiot lol.

This is true, was driving down Santa Monica earlier today pulled up to the light and a Ferrari F430 pulls up on one side of me and a C63 AMG pulls up on the other side....few minutes later pulled up to another light and a brand new Skyline GT-R pulls up next to me. West LA is rediculous...

After clearing out my headlights and putting them back in, my headlights were aimed WAY too high. So after my 10pm shift, I went to my old highschool with a super flat parking lot with a flat brick wall.
I have my lights on with my hood popped with a screw driver in my hand..
Out of nowhere, 3 Sheriffs pull up with their lights on and surround my car.
Immediately, they jump out of their cars with their hands on their holsters and asking me what I was doing.
I just told them I was adjusting my headlights and all 3 officers got out of their cars, which made me really nervous.
I have a Fujita Intake with no Carb sticker, no ambers in my headlights, no front license plate ... etc. I was almost sure I would get some form of a ticket.
As I started talking with the officers, they started asking me questions about my TL .. reliability, performance, handling, etc.
Turns out they were really interested in this car and I pretty much sold one officer on one LOL. I guess my car is so sexy it took their attention off of what illegal things were clearly visible. ahah.

All the time, I've gotten quite use to it now that other people in my car have to point it out to me now because I'm so oblivious. But nonetheless it does feel good. Same story happened to me last week as the OP. Filling up at Chevron, and 2 people were asking me about the ride. The best is when I go to dealerships. I remember the sales manager at Paragon decided t come out just to check out my kit and admire. Felt dam good!

I hate the service center in Wantagh, there one guy that works the counter that is a total douche and very demeaning in the way he talks. I can't believe he's still employed there. I rarely bring my car there even though that dealership is 2 miles from my house I still travel 15 to the next one.

I get this same thing, I'm a resident doctor at the hospital I'm at and I get all the physicians that I follow around all day complimenting me on my car at the end of the day

I dont get this because my wifes TL is bone stock. I have offered many times to drop it for her on a set of clean staggered 19" wheels and she refuses. She wants diamond earrings instead.
I have a dropped GS350 that I get compliments on all of the time. In fact its going to be in Modified magazines readers ride page soon. My last car was a red G35 sedan that was in Super Streets readers rides. The other day when I was leaving work a group of teenagers told me that I had the " baddest f#$%$ing lexus " they have ever seen. LOL pretty cool compliment

so yesterday im taking off the dust off my car outside my house and a old lady with a walker passes by my car and stops and says "what kinda car is that" i say its a acura tl she says "wow, nice i wish we had thoses in my day" lmaooo..
last night i get a guys with 2 big pit bulls knock on my window at a red light and i roll my window down a lil lol and he says yo man nice acura man i havent seen one like this yet you did a good job lol
today im parking my car and a group of taurus walking by my cae and i swear all i saw was flashes i felt like a celeb lol lol..
gotta love the tl... makes me want to keep it rather then get my 335

yeah thank god i had tints cause i didnt want to be in the pic lol i sttod in my car for like 5 mins cause there were coming up cllose on my rims n taking pics from every where lol

really? thats sick.... some guy aroung my girls way in jersey has a brand new m3 coupe in white with red seats and the 19 inch rims and then a guy next door had a 3251 x drive in black and when i see them both im like damn i want that lol so now ill get the 335i and we will have the 325i the 335i and the m3 all on one block lol

It's raining..so here goes my WDP fresh wash to waste... But I definitely see people spotting my car everyday on SI expressway during traffic... Mostly when I accelerate.. a little AEM does it's job...and it's beautiful. It's fun driving a TL-S going 5mph (not!).

But at least in our TLs the bluetooth/voice/navi is still in it's own leage...even with 2004 technology.

One time I was on my way to school. I had to take a reroute and this cop drove past me slowly. Then I see him make a U turn in my rear view..
He pulls me over and say my front tints are too dark..Then hes say's " BTW, nice car! "

Yeah man, the other day at Chevron there was this ssm tl in front of me pumping gas. I got out of my car and he was hey nice car! Told him nice car as well. We started chit chattin on how the TL's just grab peoples eyes... Just makes you feel good knowing that our cars look THAT GOOD! haha...

My best experience to date was a motorcyclist that pulled up to my driver side and paced my front wheel for a few seconds... He then looked over to me and nodded while putting his thumb up and then raced off. I honked the horn with gratitude as he sped off.
