Passenger seat does not go up or down

Passenger seat does not go up or down
Well, I found out this past weekend my passenger seat does not go up or down. It goes forward and back and reclines. But the seat does not go up when you pull up on the lever or down when you push it down. Is this normal?
I called the service department and the guy said "they are 4 way seats so they dont go up or down." I was like wtf isn't that what 4 way seats are? and he said that's completely normal.
So... is that true?

...i'm pretty sure the srvc dept is correct. the passenger seats do not go up and down. they just go forward, backwards and recline....i have a 06 tl too...someone correct me if i'm wrong.
