Passenger Airbag Outline on Dash
Before I get flamed, I attempted to search several times but I kept getting an error message. Anyway, I can see the outline of the passenger airbag on the dash. The pictures aren't the best, but you should be able to see it clearly. It's noticeable enough that the passenger can point it out clearly. Anybody else have this issue?

When the "search" function comes back up, look up "gray" "dash" and "aerospace"-- the two-step solution is to 1) clean with Honda interior cleaner or some other vinyl cleaner, AND 2) use a protectant like 303 Aerospace-- that should make the airbag line visibility dissipate.

Then, as those oils (or whatever) evaporate, the airbag outline comes back.
Keeping the dash clean and coated with 303 or similar is the best thing you can do. IMHO, the Meguiars Gold Class Vinyl protectant hides the airbag better than 303.

the reason this happens and why the dash looks faded is that a chemical used in the manufacturing process impregnates though the vinyl and then causes the appearance.
the solution:
Clean the whole dash, some like to use a 10:1 water/woolite mixture, some like to use Meg's detaling supplies, others use lexol vinylex. then you wipe with a damp towel to remove any cleaner residue, then wipe dry. After that apply 303 Aerospace protectant to a cloth, and then the dash. Let it sit overnight and then wipe off any excess in the morning.

I use meg. leather cleaner/conditoner spray. I spray a bit on a clean towel and apply it on. You won't see those lines anymore. Leaves the dash and doors looking clean and leaving a mild shine.

I had this problem with my 04 and to a lesser extent (so far) on my year-old 08. The best thing I found to cover the problem for any length of time (believe it or not) was black shoe polish! I applied and removed it just as if I were doing my shoes and it came out beautiful. I never had to redo my 04's again. I am not sure if any particular polish works better but I used the polish availabe at Payless shoe stores. You may want to test it out on a less-conspicuous section of your dash first just to make sure it will work for you. Also, don't let it dry too long or it becomes too difficult to buff off.
