Parchment floor mats don' match carpet

My floor mats don't match the carpert color. They are darker. Has anyone else had this problem. I have green pearl/parchment/navi and I have had it 8 days. I LOVE THIS CAR. My dealership is 60 miles away and wanted to ask before I drove there. Thanks and happy motoring...

I'm so glad to read your post- I thought I was just being anal for noticing that my mats are a darker color than my parchment interior! I don't know why they couldn't make them the exact same color, but I have an idea- maybe they're a bit darker to keep dirt and spots from showing as bad. It would make sense, but still looks kind of noticeable. At least I know now that I'm not the only one...

And by the way I LOVE this car too- it's hard to resist the urge to go out and just ride around aimlessly. Going to get a new bluetooth capable phone tomorrow, and then the love affair will be complete.

I had the same thought about the dirt and spots. Being a little anal myself I then thought well that will make the mats even darker....Never can win with this mind...I can't stay in either. I have been trying to plan a trip somewhere just to go for a long dirve.

Actually, I never pay attention to this color matching issue until seeing your post and removing my all-season-floor-mats to check. You're right, it's kind of darker, but I really don't care 'cause they are meant to be dirty soon.

I have the same color combo as you have, it seems very rare in the result of my color polls...

I thought our color combo was the best. I really liked the anthracite color but it didn't come with parchment and I didn't want the other colors. I think it is a classy look and people do look....We like that...at least I do..

Most tan color interiors have floor mats that are a bit darker then the carpet. My 323I had the same thing, I think its a nice contrast.

the quartz floor mats don't match the quartz interior either. I made the dealer give me ebony ones instead. They look great.

I have Parchment and the floor mats look like they came from the Camel version of the car.

They are also very cheaply made... I have terry cloth towels on my mats that match better than the mats do.

Don't shake them whatever the color

After taking my mats out and "snapping" them in the air to shake out the dust, I realized that they started to tear at the edge. They are the thinnest/cheaply made mats I've ever seen. Haven't been back to the dealer yet, but plan to demand replacements...although I'll probably replace the replacements with better aftermarket ones now available for the TL (see sources linked in related floormat thread). Even so....still love the car!

Until then, vacuum only and hope your vacuum is not too powerful!! (ha-ha)
