Paintless dent removal customer for life

well, after many years of being skeptical of weird people in shotty looking cars coming up to me in gas stations asking to sell me stuff, and or fix scratches or dents over the years.. I am sure we have all experienced this, I somehow was very skeptical about paintless dent removal

A friend referred me to his friend who has a paintless dent removal company, after telling me and swearing up and down how you cant tell... I finally said screw it lets roll the dice ... and ohhhh boy.....

I literally stood there and watched the little door dings almost appear to "melt away" as he massaged the metal from behind the door, he took out 3 dings from the passenger side of the car and top of the trunk "egg corns" most likely... and I am completely amazed at how the 100% correction actually took place in front of my eyes, and at the same time feel like such an idiot for waiting so long...

Just thought I would share the joy and let any other skeptical people on here know, dont be, and get it done asap. Looks perfect once again.

Job costed me $60 bucks for 3 dings, which was about a 80% discount since we are mutual friends with my buddy dave, the job took him only about 15 minutes. Either way cheaper then the paint booth, and saves the "original paint"

It really is cool when it's done right. You got an outstanding price. I paid $100 to get a dent out of a hood on a prior car. Damn near wanted to kiss the guy when he was done. Every body shop just wanted to fill/paint the hood and blend down the doors...NOT!

Yes I was very fortunate to have had all three removed for that price... dosent happen every day.. and I about had the same feeling of wanting to hug the guy lol

Very cool watching the process, if my jaw could have it would have hit the ground.

My advice and it was confirmed by the dent guy is to "keep up with it" like any other maintenence with a car, other wise they all stack up and then your looking at a massive bill.. so 100 hear or there every once in a while is not so bad......

Note: even with parking on end spots, hugging curbs, and parking out in the middle of the sahara desert practically when parking in public shopping/parking places somehow these bastards still door ding me... oh well thank god for paintless dent removal.

yea Im not sure how mine had it on top of the trunk, there was no scratch so I am thinking maybe a heavy egg corn or something from a tree, either way...

My dents weren't on the top of the trunk unfortunately =(

Yup, they were right on the trunk's body line.

It's filled now, and repainted.

Now my trunk lid's paint kinda sucks because we got it done somewhere cheap. The paint looks matte/flat (not shiny; looks like there's no clear coat). Not to mention they got overspray on one side of my car and windows which I used clay bar to remove.

Try having it wet sanded and buffed to bring the shine out by a professional or another approved method.

i had 238 dents from hail taken out by pdr on my old 98 accord. all but 2 very minor creases on the door body line came out (which were not from hail)only downfall was that he had to drill some holes in the door jambs to access some areas. was covered by insurance but the estimate was $1900

I never had it done until a couple months ago. I had three hail dings on the passenger rear quarter, one on the front left fender and then a door ding from some asswipe in a parking lot. Took it to my body guy and he had his PDR guy stop by and do it. $150 for all five and you can't even tell they were ever there.

I had a crease in the top of the door of my 3000gt from a branch I ran over which kicked up and hit the side of the car. The PDR guy got it out completely but whats weird is that at first he let me watch and before he sent me out of the garage, the whole surface looked like an inverted golf ball. I got lunch, came back and it was all smooth. I have no idea what he used to do that. I saw the long rods with the rounded tips he used thru the mirror mounting hole.
