painting wheel hubs?

hey guys, ive noticed that i had some minor rust on my wheel hub/brake rotors. so i broke out the dremel and got rid of it but now its coming back worse than before. could i just pull off the rims, cover the brake caliper and rotor and just paint my hubs with some rustolem paint? it just looks like a standard silver color.

anyone ever done this?

yea, you could do it. i've done it. it looks way better and no rust. it will last a long time, just get some hight temp engine paint, they have silver color. if you get some on the rotor face so what! just slap the wheel on there and drive, the pad will burn off the overspray.

word! i know how you feel. do you have the brembo calipers? if not this would be a good time to paint those as well.

i used this one on my previous AM TL works really well. best thing about it no overspray! you apply it with a brush. i got the satin black, looked sharp. just make sure you clean the calipers good. they give you a can of cleaner w/ the kit but its not enough. i'd get another can of brake cleaning spray just to make sure you have enough to do the job.

I got it from Auto zone, but that is what I used to paint the calipers on my last 4 cars. It works great, and is pretty easy. the hardest part is taping off the areas you do not want to paint. (i.e. hoses, bolts, etc...)
