On the front pumper how would I go painting that Acura sign silver or grey? I searched this topic like 4 times on search didn't come up with anything..

Tried painting acura sign.. Painting front pumper etc.. Sooo Trancemission sorry if the thread is already posted ahha I TRIED TO FIND IT!!

There are actually some stickers you can place inside the letters.......

They are sold on ebay - come in various colors and finishes.......silver, carbon fiber, black.....etc.

Thanks Steve is there any other way? Or is this the best look and easiest to do?

I think it's the easiest way no doubt and removable when you want to change it back.

I suppose you could paint it yourself - by hand or by spray......... but you would need a way to mask off the areas you don't want painted - and the lines might not be really perfect around the letters.

I'm sure it's been done but instant gratification would be from the stickers.

don't paint it! there are raised lettering like SteveP66 said or you can find flat lettering. I think painting it would get messy and not come out well IMHO

i bought the Veneerz black lettering on my white car i think it looks pretty good, and for 20 bucks you cant go wrong

Someone painted it here I just can't remember who or much less find the thread.

I think he used sticky contact paper over the area - carefully trimmed out inside the letters - and then painted.

Personally the stick on letters are much much easier and there is enough color/texture choices for anyone.

I had an unfair advantage.

I'd read all those posts trying to make a purchase decsion and knew what to look for - Acura, Bumper, Decal.

But I did spell the search terms correctly - that always helps.

for those interested, I bought my decal from ebay id: domeddecals
check him out and if it's not listed on ebay send him a comment and tell him what you want and he'll give it to you. Here is the link from the auction I won, he offers the decal in a few color choices. I went with the brushed aluminum look.

Seriously, he is, in all likellihood, NOT teng. The mods can check IP addresses and/or ISP's and make a pretty good guess if someone is posting under an "assumed" name.

I did this mod a approximately two weeks ago, I forgot to apply the adhesive that they supply with the kit to the back of the stickers, but the stickers are still on there and haven't fallen off even after being exposed to rain. We'll see if they hold up the cold winter, I hope they do, lol.

You can purchase it for $20 at Veneerz.com they have really good customer service and provided me with tracking info and everything, I was very satisfied.
