search first, novice

If you do a search for "clear bra" or paint protector you'll find there are many threads on this topic. The kit I got for my NBP covers half the hood, the front bumper, and the front of the mirrors. (Hint: before starting a new thread, it's common etiquette to do a search first to see if it's already covered).

I am aware that the clear bra thing is a viable option. However, this looks like something I can easily do and cheaper than clear bras.

I had a Lexus ES300 before and it's the same as the clear bra except they called it autobahn and needs to be applied by a professional as well to get best results

Installation is a lot like window film, but probably trickier due to compound curves on the body. It's generally not a DIY product (unless you're not picky about results, but being picky is why people put this stuff on in the first place).

Does anyone know how the clear bra holds up during car washes? It seems it might peel off after awhile.

Novice, clear bras ARE urethane, just like the stuff Lexus sells. Installing it on the TL is difficult (my clear bra installer called it "4.5 out of 5" in difficulty) because of all the creases, etc. on the car.
