Whilst my sweetheart was at the doctors office I went down the
road to talk to a tinter.

I noticed that they could also install a paint protection film (the brand
they carry is "ClearShield" an 8 mil urethane film with a five year
manufacturer warranty).

Are there any horror stories that one needs to read about before committing?

I have a RRP colored 05 TL, over 5 years would fade be a problem, are
car washes a problem, etc....

Search on "Clearbra" and you'll get numerous posts with many satisfied customers. I've it and is the best investment I've sone on the car so far.

 

A good clear bra will allow the covered paint to fade with the rest of the car. Some clear bra's don't allow the covered paint to fade, so when it is taken off there is a noticable difference.

 

all though i feel it is a great idea and in most cases it works out... on my moms pilot it doesnt seem to be lasting that well... there are already 1-2 areas where it is peeling and its less then a year old... i guess we will have to see what the dealer says....
