Paint exhaust tips black or leave 'em polished?
Some of you may recall how I polished my exhaust tips inside and out.
Little did I know the black inside the tips was painted black from the factory and not "soot".
You guys are gonna say "whatever floats your boat bro" but I wanted to see what floats your boat.

I find polished gives it a unique look.
The only downside is that I have to use Bar Keeper's Friend on it often to keep it looking shiny.
As for having the exahust tips painted black, it gives it a sportier look.
No downside to it really as it's OEM LOL
I have a full can of Duplicolor High Heat Engine Paint in Low Gloss Black, ready to paint tommorow if polls are in favour.
I heard flat black turns out gray in the sun.
I need a mod to throw up a poll in here =)

lol @ poll results
If I did paint them black, I could simply remove the paint by sanding can't I?

i kinda like the black...OEM look. it makes the exhaust opening look bigger (as big as the trapezoid) than it really is.
the polished look...its not bad, its unique, but maintenance...deal breaker.

I worked so damned hard to get mine shiny cause I thought that's how they were supposed to be! Wire brushes and goof off...there's BARELY any maintenance to keep that way btw...every once in a while I'll REhit it with some metal polish but otherwise it stays clean.

GP, considering your Aspec wheels and the fact that you do not have a black roof, I'd keep them polished.
If you had a black roof or hood, I'd say black the tips.

Honestly, I will keep it polished, looks "blingy".

It would be beneficial for guitarplayer that I continue to be on speaking terms with him

Oh the fourth picture is someone else's car.
The drop is photoshopped in that picture so I'm pretty sure he's on stock or A-Spec suspension lol
