Out of warranty transmission ?
Just purchased a 2004 TL automatic one owner, PO said when it was out of warranty Acura agreed to pay half the cost of new transmission when it failed. My question, do they replace with an upgraded unit or same as original. I'm thinking it was around 2010-2012.

Regardless of whether it is Honda/Acura or some other manufacturer, when you buy a remanufactured transmission, it will virtually always be redone to the latest engineering build.

It's a refurbished unit with new sensors, seals, etc. They are honestly better than what came in the car originally.
