Out of State Pre- Purchase Inspection

Out of State Pre- Purchase Inspection
I'm thinking of buying a 05 TL out of my state...quite a distance actually but the price is good. My problem is not having live "eyes" on the car. I'd prefer to get a visual of the car before I head out to get a mechanical inspection done and inspect it myself.
Does anyone recommend a national company that can do a good inspection? I know CarFax has a service, anyone else?
Any other words of wisdom with out of state purchases? Mine will be from a dealer.
Thanks.

The dealer should normally perform its own inspection report on every car the used car dept brings in, from the auction or trade in-
just so they know what is wrong with the car and how much to negotiate on price if you want it all fixed
Have them fax-email you a copy to start, plus items below
If you post the city its in- there are probably members here who would be happy to check it out for you. Who better to test drive a TL than a TL ziner
Also have the dealer send you the FULL carfax report and we can help read it
Get the VIN number and call Acura at- 1-800-382-2238 x5 6am-5pm pacific time
thats customer care- tell them looking to buy and want warranty history- recall notice check- anything they can tell you about last owner(s) - where car was registered before- how many owners- any warranty work ever done- what was it for?
If the dealer says it was from one of their customers- ask for service dept history on it
A good price and a good deal are not always in the same hand-
if its a solid car with extended warranty on trans- either factory or as part of the sale- then we can help you get it for the best price
(thats just the gen 2 trans replacement in me- not really a prob on 05)
If it has some real red flags- we are not afraid to voice an opinion on this board lol
