Out of state buyers at Turnersville, NJ

This is especially for anybody who bought from Turnersville from PA.

Did this dealership do the transfer on your plates, collect your
states sales tax, etc.?

If not, does anybody know what you'd need to do in PA for this
if the out of state dealership is not able to accomodate you ?

How much of a hassle was this ?

I'm picking up my car from Turnersville in a few weeks... I'm from MD, and they told me they won't do the tags and tax for me... But several others on here said the dealership took care of everything for them. If you search for my previous post, you might be able to find it.

I'm planning on insisting they take care of everything for me. I don't see why I should spend 30 grand and then have to sit in line at DMV all day trying to get tags and pay tax.

Hey Rachel, what part of Pitt you from? I'm orginally from just north of Butler.

I got my TL last weekend from Turnersville and I am doing all my own tax and registration work but I requested that. Since I did not finance the car through them they did not have to collect the taxes. I just paid the fee for the docs and temp out of state tags, they will overnight the title to me once the check clears and I'll walk into the MVA and be done.

There was another MD resident who let them do his tags and he said it took a long time and he was driving on expires temp NJ tags but had no problem.

Good luck!!!

criss, I am from Gibsonia which is the Northern-most part of Allegheny County.
I think I'm about 2 miles from the Butler county line.

What did you think about the Turnersville experience ? Did you have your vehicle
picked out already or did you just appear on their lot ? The prices they are
quoting are so much lower than anybody elses.

I ordered mine on Jan 20th from Phil and it was built the 29th of March. I wanted the Red 6mt and navi so I was willing to wait.

My expereince was great, they communicated everything to me as soon as they had it, answered all my questions (before and during delivery)and had me out the door in an hour (I spent about 10 minutes with them go over my MDX as I have added numerous things they had never seen before). No pressure to add other options but they did offer.

They would not come down much on the addons (body kit and spoiler) but they can be purchase elsewhere for much cheaper.

Let me know how it turns out....
