OT - Acura's 20 Year Anniversary - Rumored April Incentives?
First time poster, long time reader, great topic, love the car...
With that out of the way I have been ready to pull the trigger on a new TL for a few weeks now but the wife has a strong preference for the Accord. I have made about 3 trips to the Acura dealer and a few to the Honda dealer as well. I am being honest and upfront with the sales staff telling them that I prefer the TL and my wife prefers the Accord.
My wife's biggest reason is price, $6,000 does go a long way but its easy for her to say when she wouldn't be the one driving the Accord everyday. Anyway, in relaying this to the Acura salesman he told me, "If you are willing to wait there may be something in April. It's Acura's 20th anniversary and the expectation is that Acura will do something significant in terms of incentives. No guarantees but very strong rumors from very good sources."
I don't want to start a rumor mill and he did say no guarantees. But his job is to sell me a car not put me off for a month so I am inclined to believe him.
Its not going to bother me to wait a few weeks to find out.
Has anyone heard rumors similar to this?

Did a search on google.....

Looks like this dealer is doing a lease special.......hopefully there will be some kind of special financing for just buying it.....although acura is not one to do special financing that often..I was lucky enough to get 2.9% on my '05

Take the pants back from your wife and buy a TL.
By the way, I hope they don't go offering incentives, because as we've learned from GM and others, incentives = lower resale. One of the reasons I bought an Acura was because of the excellent residual values.
