I wish I could find the original owner and kick his ass.

Quote: Should we start a squad?
Quote: Maybe, or better yet, just ban all of the 2nd owners.
Can we put a mileage and year on this ban.

Can't you get his name from Carfax? You're good at finding people . . . I'm sure it won't be long.

i hope this was an "stayed in the family" car. if you're 19, that means you owned it when you were 12.

so does that really count as the original owner? i guess if the title belongs to the parents its 1st owner...but if kid now "owns" the vehicle...technically speaking...he's 2nd owner.

Sorry to hear Kam.. I've been dinged so many times, I don't even care anymore. My driver's seat looks like it pissed off a mountain lion and my interior panels looks like they were used to clean a mechanics hands.

That's incredibly impressive. My pads and rotors were replaced at 65K and will need replacing in the not too distant future. I'm at 102K. 80% stop-go city driving. Murder on a car.

Same as nfn,
bought mine mid Nov 2003 with like 5 miles on it. Currently crossing 115,000. Plan to keep her as the "beater car" just to see how long she'll last. All maintenance done well ahead of schedule. Hoping my 10-yr-old son can make use of it in a few years...

'06 AM/Ebony 5AT Navi.

6 miles on the clock
Now - It now has 81K miles and the love affair is incredibly strong.

I have every intention of seeing 200K on this baby.

wife was the original owner of her 1990 integra gs (178K miles) until we (ME :-), actually) ran it into the ground. Then bought the 04 TL to replace it. 12 miles on odometer back in spring of 04, just hit 80K this weekend. Hoping it lasts another 100K. Acura just makes great cars.

OK...I know it's not a 3G TL (mine is a low mileage 2008) but I am the original owner of my "baby" '92 Legend now with 255K miles. I hope those of you original 3G TL owners out there get as much out of yours as I have gotten from mine. YMMV

lol!
Got ours Nov 13th, 2003. Still got the paperwork in the glovebox. Had a 2001 Audi A4 (bought fall 2000) that was due to go out of warranty in less than a year. Short-story-made-shorter, I was on a first-name basis with the Audi service manager. Couldn't wait to get rid of it. Wife had a (perfectly-fine) 10-yr-old 1990 Integra that we traded (with 105k miles on her) for the Audi. BAD MOVE! Lesson learned... Bet on Honda/Acura, take care of the vehicle, and you're good-to-go.

Yeah, you got me beat by 15 days! Bought mine on Nov 28, 2003. Like you, I still have the window sticker and bos in my black owner's manual zipper case.

Interesting to note we have almost the exact same mileage: I'm at 115,163....

Doesn't surprise me. My dad got around 80K miles out of his brakes AND tires on his 03 Accord which he bought brand new in December 02.

I'm at 145,000 miles with the original front rotors and they still have meat left on them. Replaced the rear rotors twice.

Don't the front brakes usually wear out faster?

78k miles.
UPDATE: Brakes: Original with some pad left! Probably can easily hit 100k.. Unreal lol OEM seems fine by my standards if the pads last this long. I'm 85% HWY and 15% City and that's probably pushing my ratio.

I went with the bbk at 90k and had a ton of pad left in the fronts and the rears looked brand new. Could've easily have gone 200k at the rate it was going.

Will a one piece (solid disc) rotor wear more on the rear than a two piece up front? Seems strange that guy went through the rears so badly.. bad MC

Purchased my '06 AM 5AT in August 2006 with 17 miles on it.

Sold it on 7/28/2011 with 87K miles on it. Was still a fantastic car...just couldn't pass up a deal on one of my "dream cars."
