Old style bellhousing oil jet block.

I'm looking for a suitable block with oil squirters that will bolt up to my older style trans bellhousing (07 accord). the 05-06 ody EXL (J35a7) seems to be the only candidate i'm seeing. My current setup is J36 using a j32a3 block, j37 crank/rods and RL pistons/heads. im unsure weather the RL pistons will work with the ody block and clear the squirters with the stroker crank. does anyone know if this combo works? i'm thinking it should but need some clearer info before buying parts. also, the J35a7 was a VCM engine but if i only use the block there should be no issues there correct? Ive been researching for awhile but cant find any hard info on these subjects. if i'm tearing this thing down again id only like to do it once and Honda doesn't allow returns on "fine machined" parts like a block. a little info will go a long way for me on this so i appreciate the help very much.

I see blah blah, J32, blah blah blah... There are a handful of guys that are on here that may know this level of detail....I am not one of them. Just not sure how often they are actually on here looking for new threads vs reading some of the slightly older build threads....as well as it has only been one day since you initially posted. Many are not on here on a daily basis.

Well I'm sure someone out there knows the answers to these questions and more but an exhaustive search of the internet has turned up no info I can find.

There r rumors that the odyssey block sleeves were FRM. Any ideas on the truth here? Also the "oil control orifices" that feed the heads seem to be in different locations across the TL and ody block platform even though they both have the same 4 locations cast for them, head differences was my first thought but the rl uses the same configuration as the ody and plenty of ppl have used rl heads on j32a3 without changing oil control orifice locations and not had a problem. Anyone have insight on how Honda chooses where these little guys need to go? They are the same part number across all Honda/Acura platforms, but where Honda chooses to put them changes, I'd assume for a reason, but I'm not sure of what that reason is.

the mdx has an even different oil control orifice location from both ody/rl/tl

The J37 crank will destroy the jets. The block is slightly different due to vcm but, it can be modded to work. This is the block Im using. If I were you, I would just use a J32a3 block

thank you. Would you be able to elaborate on the "modifications" needed to get the j35a7 ody block oil jets to clear the j37 crank?

They won't. I simply meant it needs modification to use any kind of non vcm cylinder heads
