Hi all,

I have an Acura TL 06 Nighthawk Black Pearl and I'am looking to buy a full underbody lip kit (A-SPEC).

I will buy the body kit from an Acura Dealer so the color will be matched. But since my car is 4 years old, the color of my car could be different of the color of the new body kit?

Would I see the difference between the paint color of the new body kit and the paint color of my car that is 4 years old?

Assuming the kit was painted correctly from Acura, and your paint is OEM, or same as OEM, you will not have a problem color wise. Hopefully the surface of your existing paint is in good shape, no swirls, scuffs, ect.

You kinda lucked out since you have NBP. It's a easy color to paint match. Blacks in general are the easiest color to paint match.

 

With black there won't be much of a difference, if anything the only difference will be in the gloss of the paint. A quick polish of the old paint will bring it back to look like the A-spec kit, and even if you don't polish it out it'll still match very well. The only people that are going to have problems are those with white, silver, or grey TL's since they come standard with bumper mis-matches!

 

indeed. i agree. just painted my 07 front bumper and i couldn't even tell the difference.

Thats a good price, but I got mine piece by piece and it came out to $810 shipped. Also, I have anthracite and apparently there were 14 variations of this color. Make sure its for YOUR year car, which may be hard unless you special order it to your exterior color/year, or buy used. I learned the hard way. I haven't had any problems with color matching black, so your good.
