One of you two will have to leave an email address if you want to get in contact with each other.

i just went to Acura of Oakland today, to try to get my glove box plugs, and i said what the heck, im here, mind as well ask for the bumper plug, cuz everyone said just ask them, and they would get it for free. So i asked the parts guy, and he said, ohh you have to talk to the sales department. So i went to ask a lady, and she got me the sales manager. I talked to the sales manager, nice guy by the way, luie. He said let me check on that for you. goes to the parts and looks, and comes back and say your lucky, these are the last two i got, but you can only have these with a refearl. LOL. but yeah, pretty cool guy. Used to live in my neighborhood apparently.

I also got them when I bought the car. I had to ask the sales guy for them. The parts guy had a box full of the plugs they kept when thet installed front license bracket. I was told that in California the dealer has to install the front license bracket before it leaves the dealership. They won't give you the plugs unless you ask.

Hey Twon,
Just picked up an '08 Type-S. Dealer installed the front plate, and a stupid dealer brand sticker, even though I specifically told them no branding except licence plate brackets. Anyway, would like to get a set of Carbon Bronze bumper plugs if you've got a set left. Tried to PM you, but I'm too new to the forum for PMs, I think.
Thanks in advance.

Guy's these plugs belong to you.
You PAID for them when you bought the car. No one has the right to remove standard stock parts from the car, then charge you to get them back.
You wouldn't accept this for, say, a Fuel Door cover or, say, a Sun Visor would you? So why is "OK" to let 'em remove the plugs and not replace them FOC if asked?
Go to your dealer and tell them to replace what they took. It's NOT your problem if they threw them away and have to order a new set - it's thier's.

The way to handle this is to talk to the salesman. He can go to the PDI tech who might have a drawer full of the things and just get them. No one pays for those ones, they came on the car and in most states need to be removed to have a front place put on.
If you go to the parts, they are selling you a part that they had to order from a distributor and pay for.

all work and no play
my salesman looked like a deer in the headlights when I asked for mine when I picked up my car, he had no idea that there was even such a thing LOL. I gotta bring the car back so they can replace part of the door panel, I will hit up the service manager then

When i wanted mine, i just went to the dealer and talked to my sales guy. I told him it was ridiculous that i would have to pay $36 for a set when they are technically built into the sticker price of my car. He agreed and told me to wait up to a month until another KBP TL came in and i could have the ones they took off of there. Sure enough, a week later he called me to pick them up, free of charge!
Any reputable sales person will be able to get them for you. Maybe not the day you go, but definately once the next shipment of cars comes in. EVERY car includes them and most states require the dealer to remove them...causing a huge "stock" of garbage.

North Carolina only has a rear plate requirement but most of the dealers put the front bracket on for their own advertising plate. You can usually get the plugs through your salesman for nothing. My salesman sent me a set in the US mail so I did not even have to go to the dealer.
