I read this thread...didn't even know they had plugs for the front, called the dealer, spoke with the new car guy, he said to come in, I did, and he just handed me two of them. McGrath Acura in Westmont, IL. They are ok.

That sucks....at Valencia Acura they have the Ziploc of plugs with the sales mgr...I asked and he dumped them out and gave me the ones i needed...why would a dealer give you crap about a part that they have laying around, way to get repeat customers...NOT

I got mine from Mission Viejo Acura (So Cal. I went to the service bay just to the left of the service drive (where they do PDI) and asked if he had any lying around. He gave me two sets for free. Wrong color, but I had the factory touch up paint (which is a good idea to have anyways), so I just repainted them, plugged them in, and down the road I went.

My sales guy handed me a baggie with two plugs during the new car run thru. i mis-installed them and they popped out on the drive home; didn't realize the little bayonets on the plug engage matching slots in the bumper hole. Called the sales guy a week later to check into replacements, and he taped a pair to his business card and mailed them to me. Marco at Prestige Acura, Santa Rosa, CA.....he is just getting started in his career there but as helpful and unpretentious as they come.

When I bought my car I requested they NOT mount the front plate but they did. I didn't notice till I got home ( 4 hours away ). I didn't get the plugs nor were they in the car. I dropped into the dealer a couple months later to see if I could get them for free ... no luck .. and they didn't even have any around.

So if anyone has a couple of unused WDP ones I'll Paypal the mailing costs and a 1/2 Doz. beer.

I paid $12.95 each, they were cheaper than the other dealer I went to, I gave them this estranged look like they were going to make me pay money pay anymore for two small pieces of painted plastic.

They mounted a front plate on my car without asking, they did however give me a free acura accessory plate to put there, howerver I didnt ask for this. Next morning I go to take off the plate and I see they drilled a third whole in the middle of the bumper. I am still working on getting something for there stupidity. What do you guys think I should ask for if not a new bumber?. The whole is small and clean enough that I could live with it but they should compensate me still. I am getting a call next week and if they dont offer me free accessories Im demanding a new front bumber. In my glove box was only one plug and I think the guy taking the plugs off didnt know wtf he was doing because he kinda left a dent on on side of the plug hole like it was pried off.

They must of thought I was one of these fools that goes around doing free advertising for their dealership with me new car.

Have them pay to fill the whole and airbrush the bumper. They'll never put a new one on. If they have a decent airbrush guy, it will look nice.

I got the plugs in the mail today from Twon. ABSOLUTLEY PERFECT!

It is REFRESHING to have someone go out of their way to help someone out like this. It is too often that you can't get someone to just hold the door open when you are going into a building, let alone a gesture like this.

Just another reason to keep coming to Acurazine....

Now that Trueblue mentions the plastic bag...

I had mine come in the USPS "We did our best, but your package got pooched" plastic bag as well, but I was fortunate that the just the tabs on the back poked through the paper envelope.

I can see how they would slip out....they are kinda small...makes me re-shake my head the dealer here wanted $25 each :thief:

BTW....I know twon will hook you up if he can, but Tim at Hondacuraworld had em for about $11-12 too.....link to contacts

Not necessarily. Its not itemized on anything, and most PDI processes require that the license plate braket is installed.

Woo Hoo.........just got my ASM ones from dealer service guy today.
About a week ago I asked him to grab me a set so I could pick them up at next service (today)
Asked if he found any, and he said he looked around for me, but didn't see any.

While I was there, I asked him if he would take a walk down to visit the guys who prep the cars after coming off the truck, and reminded him that the cars don't come with the front plate holder installed.
10 min. later success!! Freebies

Hey Twon, although I do not need any of the plugs, I was in some trouble like this. My car never came with the plugs! Luckily my uncle was working at Acura at the time and hooked me up. I would love to thank you so much for your kindness, to get out of your way so you can ship these out, for FREE.
