oil filter change ?

I have to change my oil and NONE of the auto parts stores in my area have in stock a mobil 1 oil filter ( m1-110 )
I'm currently at 20% life left and need to do some driving this weekend ( give or take 400miles roundtrip )

would it be a problem reusing the existing filter?

I wouldn't. But it could depend upon how many miles you have on your current oil change. You know you can also use the Mobil 1 M1-104 filter. That's the one I use for both of my 3G TL's. If you can't find that one, look for Purolator or Bosch. I would stay away from Fram.

Doesn't the maintenance schedule call for the filter change every other oil change? If so, you can go with the same filter. Personally I change the filter at each oil change.

If you're going by the MID, oil/filter together.

I change my filter every time as well, but if you're at 20% then you should be fine to drive a little further IMO. Pick up a filter in your travels lol

You can get a K&N filter, it's more or less a rebranded Mobil 1. Made by the same company (Champion Labs), with the same internals, filtering media, etc.

If you have a Pep Boys near you, get a Royal Purple filter. It's better than the M1 filter anyway, uses a synthetic glass media.

If they don't have the filter, then just wait to change the oil. The old oil with the old filter will be fine if you are at 20%. Just change it when you get back.

New oil and old filter just feels dirty, but if you do it, then it will take less than 4.5 quarts... not sure how much since I don't do it.
