Oil Change and 105k service ?

Hey everyone,

Well my MID has not showed up yet for an oil change. When I check it says oil <20% life. I currently have 99k miles on it, and I want to know if I should switch oils for my car, it uses mobil 1 5w-30, Ive only just started driving the car. New to actually being an owner.

I know its due for its major 105k service soon. Should I do the service before the the MID tells me or when it tells me. I am the second owner, so she said she never drove it hard, but anyone will say anything to sell it.

Took it to the Acura Dealer for the inspection but did not say how much oil life it had.

Huge expenses coming up for me in the next 2 months. Please give me oil brands, that work well for the acura because ive read somewhere the mobil 1 isnt true synthetic, so I want to keep my car lasting so which brands?

Sorry real noob to car engines and stuff

Mobile 1 is fine. It is a good oil. Mobil 1 EP is true synthetic.

You can do the timing belt at any time that it is convenient. Early is not an issue at 99K.

Okay great since I plan to get quotes from independent and dealer prices for the timing belt service. As for the oil change how low do the oil life % go. Also noticed vibrations on the car so plan to get the wheels balanced, notice adhesive left ovr where I think weights use to be.

I used to let the MID get down to <10% on my TL-S.

thnks Ill hold off on the oil change. the source of my vibrations is nearly warn out tires, great another unexpected expense and my front right wheel is severely bent, saw it for myself, I was trying to get it balanced.

What kind of tires would you recommend I have the falkens ZE-502 currently, since I just started driving the car it drives like crap with the nearly done tires. It drove smoothly when I did an extended test drive, but over the course of getting the loan, the owner put 3k miles on over a 3 week period.

how could it be unexpected? they are worn out tires and a bent wheel on a vehicle you just purchased?
