you shouldn't be worried about the key being fit on their TSX or not.
the shop is milling the blank to them just like all other TLs.

it's up to the locksmiths THEY choose to cut the keys that needs to take care of that part.
like i said before, my locksmith was AWESOME and they did a great job on cutting the keys for my TL and TSX to fit perfectly.

even if he made sure that it's correct, the locksmith you guys choose locally will screw up if they don't cut it right......then what's the point of him being cautious??

I think we all get the fact that the final cut on the SB keys will be in the hands of the end-user. I think csmeance is being cautious that the milling is the same for TL & TSX; that's all he's confirming....the cut is all in the hands of the locksmith. Seems there have been instances where switchblades milled have only partially worked in TSX locksets? Worked in ignition and doors but did not work in glove box and trunk. It's not like he's trying to segregate out TSX owners from getting in on a blade key...he's just doing some CYA so he doesn't have to hear any sniveling after the fact. If something on this deal doesn't work, and he has physically checked all keys sent out, then that leaves no one to fault but the end-user and their locksmith...not trying to put words in his mouth, just an observation on my part

The issue with the TSX keys was that the front tip was too wide, or the key was too wide to fit into some of the locks in the car. I want to find out what the exact issue is so the TSX members don't end up buying keys that don't work, then having to send me the keys back on their dime, and then me fix the keys. Putting someone though that hassle is worthless, it's better that a little work be put in to insure that they will have no issues.

The 06 accord uses laser cut keys, you should be able to just buy the key and get it cut by your local honda dealer.

I'm sorry, but I can't. if you buy the milled key from me, it will be useless for him. He needs to go to an acura dealer and buy just a regular TL switchblade key. His local honda dealership will cut it. the 04+ Accord uses laser cut keys, not the keys that the TL uses. Here's what I mean:

As you can see, I will have to do nothing for his keys, he can just go to any dealer and buy the switchblade and get it cut and programed.

i mean you're doing this for our 2004-2006 TL in the first place, now those TSX guys are jumping in.

if they really want these keys, they should be the one who should figure it out if they fit or not, NOT you. You're doing this for us.

I bought a switchblade key for my TL because I knew they'd fit, then i bought another one for the TSX just to see if they fit or to play with and it worked for me as well, so what i'm saying is that if the key won't fit the glove compartment or trunk, well tough luck! it's not like you can't open them with your HAND???

IMO, they should work on both vehicles regardless. they all were cut from the same blank milled key anyways.

but i give your props for helping the TSX guys and making sure. If i was doing this, I would be more concern about our TLs, I personally wouldn't care about TSXs.

they can find their own ways to get those keys milled.

not quite, those prices were for the member in canada, and that would be after the keys are made. Here is the turn around time:
1. I recieve payment for those buying keys (about 2 days)
2. Then I buy the keys at my local stealership and take them to get milled.
3. I give it to the shop for them to mill the keys.
4. I pick up the keys (which ever ones they have done) at the end of the day and test them, then ship them out.
5. Repeat step 4 until all the keys are done.

Shipping out the keys will be based on when the payment of money was made. I would prefer that everyone pays on the same day so I can order the keys by 3:00PM tuesday and drive to the parts dept. (60 miles) the same day to pick them up, and then I can have the shop guys do a little bit of extra work and try to get them all done within 2-3 days.

I appreciate the help that you are giving and understand where you are coming from. The reason I'm doing this for the TSX guys (I told them about it), is that it will help them too. Many people in the first gen TSX section want these keys, and why not help them out too, I mean its a little extra work on my part, but it helps out a bunch of other people too. Keeping it for the TL guys only would be a little bit mean, and I don't want do be "mean".
