The type-s carbon fiber?
I saw something not too long ago about someone acquiring one, can’t remember the member tho..
P.S I have an ‘04-‘06 carbon fiber wheel. Just haven’t installed it, as I have faux wood interior.

Many had the OEM CF steering wheel. I still have the OEM CF one in my closet. It's only rare now since these vehicles are nearing 20 years old and most of these accessories are no longer available. Hence, why I saved mine

Previous owner said he put 1000 miles on it. 🤷🏼♂️ Have the original bag issued with the wheel from Acura…😏
I agree with Gus, if not using, keep it just in case! I believe Gus has an aftermarket carbon or oem a-spec…..🥰

I keep coming back to this thread (and drooling lol) at that CF Type S wheel. Often thought about going with a new endless rpm or https://carbonconcepts.org/products/acura-tl-type-s wheel but that OEM one is incredible. So jealous lol!

As long as a # isn't stupid ridiculous I'd be interested in buying one. Yea yea yea I know it won't be cheap, I'm prepared for that. Needle in a haystack I'm aware....just throwing it out there.

I too would love to get one! We will eventually get to the point where just finding one in any condition will cost alot. Stock up on TL Rares while you can! (and food and ordinance). Just saying.

I just noticed what @Acura TL Builder wrote in the 1st post.
There might be a slight confusion on the steering wheel available for the 3rd gen TL
2004-2006
A-spec Steering wheel, which was part of the A-spec package. (Blue stitching with silver inserts by controls)
Wood grain or Carbon Fiber Accessory steering wheels
2007-2008
Wood grain or Carbon Fiber Accessory steering wheels
There was no A-spec steering wheels for these years.

Interesting! I didnt know that was the 04-06 ASPEC wheel! So which package was the 04-06 carbon fiber wheel part of, if at all?
P.S. Theres a wood grain 04-06 wheel for sale on ebay atm. Get it fellas(just don't pay asking price)! https://www.ebay.com/itm/31378435256...EAAOSwUNJhr-TS

There was no 04-06 Type-S. But that wheel wouldn't fit anyways because the clockspring clips are completely different. Also, it would look off to put an 04-06 steering wheel into a 07-08 3G.

Some of you guys really know your stuff!
04TL was the "most" A-Spec possible (if you cant even say that with a straight face) with the A-Spec steering wheel, brake pads (for auto trans), suspension, bodykit and 18x8.5 gunmetal wheels. If you got the 6spd, you would have gotten the same pads as any other TL equipped with brembos 04-08. All in all, it's nice to have and one day may be worth significant money. I know that the carbon fiber accessory kit for the cupholders sells for GOOD $$$ if you can find them used. Same with the rear seat area "not an ash-tray" pocket CF trim under and around the vents.
Remember all TL's came the same from the factory, these are DEALER INSTALLED ACCESSORIES. A-spec was designed by factory engineers but not put in place @ the factory to save $$$.

As for the carbon fiber or wood grain steering wheel, they weren't part of any package. They are accessory items, like all season floor mats or gold emblems ect. A true A-spec package in 2004-2006 comes with that steering wheel. The 2004 was the most "complete" A-spec as it also came with high performance brake pads for the automatics. That was no longer part of the package from 2005 on.

Did I do something to upset you Gatr? I sure do love your Mr.Bean Engineer flipoffs.
I know you have a big house, channel those emotions to build a food cache.
When buying canned, dont buy the pull tops, full sealed only, last Much longer. Buy canned foods with meats, potatoes and such mixed in, those will be the first to go, not the single food cans. Buy rice, spaghetti, flour, salt, sugar in 25-50lbs bags. Go to US Chef and buy the Huge canned foods if you can, though prices have already gone there in the last few months.
Hope all the 3G enthusiests are doing this. Got fuel a week before prices skyrocketed. Still pumping it into the cars.

04 was the most full Apsec but back then Acura didn't even call it Aspec. Not until the MY 2005 they officially call it Aspec then fast forward to 07-08 they didn't even call it Aspec kit as they can be purchase individually.

The best part is a guy on FB page got mad when I calling his ass out on selling "JDM Aspec" front lip while it was still available for ordering. $650 for a front lip that still need paint but people praise him like a living god. I took a screen shot of several dealer across the U.S with starting price of $246.

This is why I don't do any social media. You can sometimes find a good deal on parts there, but good luck getting it shipped. Most people there don't know how to change a tire, yet give out mechanical advice.
IG is full of people making filtered sideways pics of thier rides, then the next day change the filter and flip the picture and repost. Instagramers also ask others to tell them how they should modify their car. The shakers and the movers are typically not on there.
I also didn't like how I would catch myself flipping through my "cattle feed" on social medias many times a day hoping to find something that catches my eye. What a total waste of time, energy and emotion.

Yea I am trending towards this^
When I read this post on the 3G Facebook group page - about the Type S carbon fiber steering wheel....
I had one of these. Couldn’t sell it in this group. I had too many haha reacts when listing for $100. Ended up letting it go for free to an owner in need.
Yup, that's all I needed to hear to confirm what I pretty much already knew. Either that was a troll posting, or another clueless owner. As the car ages, and more affordable, comes less knowledgeable buyers, comes more janky....you know where I'm going here.
