What is the difference between factory cabin air filter in 3rd gen TLs vs aftermarket ones?

I just bought a OEM "MicronAir" cabin air filter from my Acura Dealer for $16.

I don't believe it is "charcoal activated" or anything, but it gets the job done.

Cool the ATP Charcoal filters for the 6th gen Accord are $23 shipped minus a $5 mail-in-rebate.

The ability of the charcoal to absorb organics will be quickly exhausted... maybe in 5000 CFM or something. Unless the manufacturer can tell you how long the carbon will last, I would choose a filter that keeps smaller particles out... maybe the charcoal does that too. I just use the wix one.
