I've read several thread regarding to people pondering between a 6MT and 5AT TL. whether it's stuck in traffic or have a gf/wife/family who shares the car with you.
I got a few words for you all... GET THE 6MT and don't be a p*ssy!! Unless you have a weekend car that already has 6MT or don't really like MT, then I understand. I personally have a 5AT because I have a beater car (1990 Toyota Celica 5MT) and ready to get an used 6MT SS soon. So TL will be my daily as SS will be my weekend. But I have to have least a MT.. why not the TL? because I was a p*ssy and couldn't wait back then.
so don't be like me for those of you who wants a 6MT! GET IT!

How about this, you decide what's good for you; I'll decide what's good for me.
You know what you can do with the name calling.
I do happen to have a weekend 5spd but my above comment says enough.

My dad has already made up his mind, auto. As much as I would rather a manual he works in Boston, he can't multistask for shit, and he is kinda lazy when it comes to driving. Just likes to listen to the Sox(Go sox), soft rock, and look out the windshield. I have to agree, that based on his lifestyle, he needs the auto(hey, he will use the sport shifter every now and then). If I was trying to weigh the two I would most likely go for a manual, but based on circumstances...

first of... the technology of auto is already catching up with what the manual car can do. In some cases the auto can do even better then the manual can.
I like how some of you guys say hey MT is not bad in traffic. Why not bring that MT to NYC traffic and sit there in the middle of a traffic jam for about an hour or more only driving like 5-10 miles.
MT are good for suburbs and open roads where you can take advantage of it.
Besides... AT can keep up with MT in corners just fine.
Besides when you go 60mph it dont make a difference if its AT or MT 60 is 60

obviously, for you, sk7, auto w/ sport shift is perfect.
likewise, everyone goes with what they see is the best for themselves. as much as i love my 6MT, 5AT is just as cool - my brother's 2nd gen is a 5AT. I got the sportshift (or sportronic as mitsu calls it) on my eclipse because it was fairly new and unknown at the time, and i loved it... i could enjoy being lazy in D or choose to hold a gear when cornering...
with that said, it's helluvalot more fun with 2 more gears (eclipse had 4AT sportronic)!!

Triads had their origin in the late 17th century anti-Manchu resistance in China, the term "triad" coming from the three dots which form part of the Chinese character for the Ming Emperor Hung Wu. Triads began as "Men of Hung." The were both part of the political resistance of the Han Chinese to the Manchu dynasty, as well as outlaws who "Ta fu — chih p'in" (Hit the Rich and help the poor).
Triads spread all over the world and control much of the illegal and informal economy in overseas Chinese communities. Thrasher wrote about "tongs" in Chicago, defining tong as "protective society." The largest was the On Leong, that also had chapters in New York and San Francisco
I hope this helps.
