Not Cleaning the Intake Filter

how bad is it if i don't clean the intake filter....i have the new DRY-FLOW AEM Filter on my intake...im just wondering what would the negatives be of not cleaning it...ive had it on for about 6-7 months and havn't cleaned it yet.....but im going to college...so i won't really have a chance to change it for awhile....

As it gets dirtier, your performance and mileage will suffer.....

You'll begin to suck dirt into your engine and excess wear will occur and your engine will die sooner than it would have if you had changed/cleaned your filter when you should have....I'm out of breathe!

^-depends on where you drive and how much driving you do. I clean mine probably once a year, although Im lazy as shit when it comes to my car. I could probably do it twice a year but dont.

Up to a point, the dirtier the filter is the better it cleans, unlike a paper filter. I cleaned my Injen at 20k and it could have gone at least 20k more without a problem.

In about the time spent on this message (coming back to read replies, ask the questions, etc.)....the filter could be just about cleaned. Maybe not quite, but you get the idea.
