North Carolina Group Buy

I just noticed a post about a SoCal group buy. I think this would be a great idea for NC too! I've spoken with several dealers in Winston, Chapel Hill, and Raleigh and they are only giving me about a grand off msrp (which they then add the 400 doc fee in, so really 600 off)

Invoice is roughly 31,825 + a gracious 200 for protection and floor mats - 3% holdback = 31,070 for their cost

31,070 * 5% profit (1,553)= 32,623 + 570 destination + 56 tag = 33,250

33250 * 1.03 = 34,247 out the door.

if we get 5 people they would make 1,553*5=7,765 - a few grand to get the cars ready...so they would clear at least 5,000 for an hour worth of paperwork.

Please respond if you are interested. Give Color Combination and transmission desired and time frame for your purchase (keep in mind that to order an 05 it would take up to 3 months to arrive)

I don't understand why you would think a dealer would charge less for five people who happen to walk in together. They still have to prep 5 cars and do the paperwork for 5 people, plus deal with the interactions between them (what if one person backs out? what if one can't get their color combo?)

If I were a dealer I'd charge you more for the hassle.

Very interesting group buy idea. Seeing as I didn't do too good in math... what would the individual savings be? And on what type of TL? Navi? 6MT?
