Noob with question about factory warranty

I wanted to put the greddy evo and a cai on my 06 tl but the only thing holding me back is the fear of my bumper to bumper warranty being voided out. Does anyone know if this will be a problem. Thanks for your help

any non-cosmetic modification will void the warranty, especially CAI and Greddy, you are modifying the key aspects of your car....

You can always put back the stock intake instead of CAI,so that's easy...but with the Greddy...that's a different story.

Basically, when you go to a dealership, and they will see the mods, you making it easier for them to say deny you for any warranty work as they can blame your mods for the issues, if those issues are engine/performance related.

What people have said here is that they have to prove that the fault was caused by the aftermarket components.

For example if you have a problem with your navigation, they cannot blame your exhaust and intake on that...

But they will most definitely try...
- Comes right out of lesson plan #2 in the dealership service manager/advisor training syllabus.

Yes a joke - but history has proven it true...

theres a law called the magnuson moss warranty act that says that if you do something to mod your car, and something goes wrong, they have to be able to prove that what mod you did was the reason for why the car is bad now before your warranty is voided. say you install a cold air intake and then somethin goes wrong with your suspension. they have to be able to prove that the cai was the true and main cause of this before voiding it...

but the thing is, dealers can say and do anythin they want basically... they could say a buncha bs and get away with it because hey, they're the dealer and its them vs you.

there are a number of memebers on this thread that havent run into any problems about their warranty being voided even though they have exhaust, sport suspension etc, but its up to you. i myself am gonna wait til 62K before i actually think about doing something like suspension simply cause i dont wana run into any troubles with a dealer bsing me and believe me.. dealers will bs you.. acura of concord made me think i was crazy when i said that my defog side mirror button doesnt light up anymore.. they told me it never did light up cuz it doesnt. asked memebers on the forum.. and it does :/
