Non-metalized films

i got window tint yesterday just for rear windows and they used SUNTECK non-metalized ceramic film so its a dyed film and it'll fade in few years... are there other films out there that will not fade and are not metalized?

thanx

Jatt, check out the Formula One Classic series. They offer a non-metal film, no color change, lifetime warranty. Or you could go with their Pinnacle Series, which is ceramic and cost a little more. I believe they have a authorized dealer in Fresno called U.S. Tint located at 6129 North Blackstone. Got this from their Website. I believe 3M and Huper Optik have ceramic film also.

I'm surprised you didn't post some pix on your new tint.

well thanx there man, this was my second tint with felt. First tint was from U.S. TINT and they still used metalized film even though i told him and they knew i had navigation. They refunded my $$ and now i went to different place that can install the felt and he used SUNTECK film. Plus my tint is half done, only the rear cuz he ran out of 35% film for the front. Well I guess i'll be having a talk with the shop regarding 3M films.

thanx points for u

You can use Llumar Titanium. The titanium is inert and doesn't affect the radio or navi. If it was going to I would have noticed it in the last year but all is fine.

Jatt: There must be a dozen threads on this topic in the 3G Garage sticky. Did you check it out?

I have Llumar's Formular One Pinnacle ceraminc tint. It is non-metallic and does not interfer with the navi, the AM radio or cell phone signals. It comes in 35% and 15%. I have 35% on the side windows and 15% on the rear. The installation was perfect. It has a lifetime guarantee and will not fade or turn purple like dyed films.

I put the flnsx moleskin kit on myself before I took it in for the tint. It was fairly easy to do in less than an hour and a half.

Huper Optik costs more money but is also good.
