They are a major pain in the b*t to use.
If you follow the manufacurers reccomendations, you have to remove it when it rains. You also have to remove it when you wash your car and while it is removed, you need to rinse off the fleece side to remove dust and debris that migrate between the bra and the car and let it dry before you install it again.
A regular bras will always move slightly over the car with the wind when you are driving causing the paint to eventually wear out because of the dust trapped between the bra and the paint.
I only had 1 vehicule equipped with a regular bra (Wolf brand) over 20 year ago and will never buy one again & will never use one again even if I could get it for free.
The TL is the 2nd vehicule I had a "Clear Bra" installed (3M Paint Protection Film) and will not consider using any other type of paint protection.
As far as cost, yes it is not cheap but compared to the cost of re painting the front end plus the loss value of a re painted car, the Clear Bra is one hell of a deal.

There is a reason why people drive around without front license plates.The front of the TL is sexy (even more so with an A-Spec front lip).
