newbie from west hartford, CT
hey guys, i'm new to the forum...just wanted to say whats up. I just purchased an 07 black on black, 6 speed TL-S and love it! Anybody ever have issues with the check engine/VSA light going on randomly? the car has 18K miles and i'm not sure as to why this would be happening. any input would be appreciated.

yeah i'll post some pics when i get a chance. As far as the CEL goes, i use premium everytime, no messin around here...i noticed that the light has a tendency to go on and off. i called an acura dealership and they told me it could be from filling up with gas and not turning the cap enough times...but i'm OCD about it so i'm not sure.

I would take the car back to the dealership since you just got it and have them check the code. If you don't want to do that take the car to your local autozone and ask to borrow the little machine they have that checks the code. They will let you use it for free.
I have had my CEL come on for a bunch of stupid little things in the past. I have driven Honda's all my life and I have come to believe it doesn't take much to make the CEL come on. Sometimes as little as parking on a hill at the wrong angle will make mine come on. I would not worry about it too much but I would have it checked asap.

Yeah i'm lovin my type S. I had an 04 A4 1.8 and it seems like a rocket ship compared to that slow piece of junk. Can't wait for spring to come so i can really rip around in it.

ok good, makes me feel better now haha. Thats not a bad deal! If you see a SSM tl with the aspec kit, tl-s wheels and tails, thats me...flash your lights or somethin hah
