Newbie with questions.
Hi everyone. I'm thinking of trading in my '01 A6 for a TL. I am really happy with my car, but I really like the technology that the TL has to offer, not to mention the performance and luxury for the money. I've really enjoyed visiting your forum. I have found it quite helpful and can see that this crowd is as knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their cars as the Audi forum I am part of. However, I still have some reservations about how well the TL can handle. I consider myself an "enthusiastic" driver, so handling is very important to me. I am curious to know, from those that have had European cars, how well the TL stacks up. Currently, I drive an Audi A6 2.7T 6spd with AWD. I'm hoping to maintain the same(or near) level of performance. I know some members are former BMW owners, your input would be very helpful. TIA.

250 hp/258 lb/ft A6 2.7T 6spd Quattro...
I ever frequently drove A6 3.0 5AT Quattro (30 hp/torque less plus Auto)... I don't think its performance is comparable to 04TL. Don't enjoy its handling, either. (but AWD is really impressive in some conditions)
2.7T with 6spd should be much better in performance. Does 04TL have better rigidity design and suspension? It can be better than A6 2.7T 6spd Q, right?
I wanna know, too. Thanks.

The A6 3.0 is sluggish compared to 2.7T. The 2.7T comes equipped with the sport suspension. Also, how well does it accelerate at higher elevations? And how does it handle in really poor weather? You're right, quattro is a big advantage and may keep me from getting the TL. Thanks again for all your input.
