Newbie question about cargo nets

I bought my car last week and just noticed today that the car came with 2 cargo nets, a small and a large one.

My question is this, does the owner's manual tell you how to hook them up to use them correctly?

If not, how do you do it? I was just messing with them for 5 minutes and could not figure out how to attach them to make them work the best.

According to the owner's manual there are several different configurations that you can use. However the illustrations in the manual are not that helpful - just keep in mind that the smaller net is attached to the side.

Sometimes it helps to 'actually' read the owners manual! I see lots of questions here that could be easily answered by this obscure method. . . Hell, I took home the owners manual before I completed the purchase of the automobile. I'm curious about all of the gadgets and possibilities. . . But I realize lots of folks aren't readers. Unless it is short and concise and someone else has done the grunt work. There is a list of supposedly 'undocumented' features of the TL on this site but upon reading the manual you see that 95% of these are listed in the manual. . .

If you have the trunk mat the nets will not install. The trunk mat covers up the anchor points on the floor. If anyone has installed the nets with the trunk mat installed please post some pics.

You have to cut a slit or hole in the trunk mat where the anchors are and poke them through the mat. Click here for more information.
