Newbie here...
Hello,
I'm a newbie here but I've been lurking around this forum for quite sometime now. Quite honestly, I've picked up a lot of good information in this forum regarding the car. I got my 2004 Acura TL Nighthawk Black Pearl with Navi Package around November last year, just a few weeks after it was launched here in the British Columbia, Canada. So far, I'm lovin' it!
About the tranny safety recall, my car's VIN# is 19UUA66..4A8.....7. I guess it's not in the recall, eh? I can't get a straight answer from my delaership. The guy I talked to over the phone kept telling me to wait if I receive the letter. Or, I can come down on my next scheduled maintenance and they can look it up on their computer, he said.
Anyway, I'm really glad that I found this forum. It's got tonnes of good stuff!
Cheers, everyone!

Welcome to the club...
If you car is built recently, it should be fine. Otherwise, you could call Acura and ask again, they "should" give you the answer "yes or no".
Another thread you may check... http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88639
Plus, over here, we could register our info into Acura's Owner Link site, and the site will update and tell if you're in the recall...

I'm going to have an oil change this Saturday. I'll ask again...
BTW, thanks for pointing me to that thread, Mod. My VIN# is close to mic's and he was told that there's no recall on his vehicle.
Cheers!
