New to the TL, New to the Forum!
Hey everyone...I just put a deposit down on a 2005 TL, 6SP, Anthracite/Quarts. I am also new to this forum. I have been reading it over the past couple months (just haven't registered) and I want to thank everyone that posts here for your valuable input on this sweet piece of machinery called the TL. It has played a significant role in my decision to go with the TL.
The dealer said my car should be in toward the end of November early December. That's a long time to wait, but after test driving the TL, the wait is more than worth it. I was torn between auto or manual, and ultimately decided to go with manual. I've had manual all my life (currently driving a 1996 Honda Civic - big change in cars!!!) and just couldn't give it up. Besides, after test driving the manual, there was no way I could turn it down. The thing is sweet!!!
Anyway, I look forward to posting and reading in this forum...thanks again everyone!
I am going to go nuts waiting to drive it off the lot!!!

Welcome to the forum, and more importantly welcome to Acura ownership (well almost anyway).
The 6sp is worth the wait!! The Brembos are great, and the smooth shifting is endless fun. A word of caution..... be prepared to map out the local gas stations as the 6spd begs to be brought to redline.
Welcome aboard!!

Welcome PianoMan. I wish you the best of luck with your new car. As I'm sure you've found out, this forum has a wealth of information, and a good amount of knowledgeable people...
Enjoy.

Thanks to everyone for the welcome! I will let you all know when I get my car...Hopefully it will be sooner, rather than later, but it sounds like quarts is a popular interior color.
I might as well ask my first question...is bluetooth included if you don't get the navi?

My Tl Is In!!!
Wow....and way ahead of schedule too! The original estimated arrival time was beginning to mid-December! (Put deposit down in the beginning of Oct.) Well my 05 TL Anthracite/Quarts 6SP is sitting at the dealer now (arrived on the truck yesterday) and I am scheduled to take deliver this Saturday at NOON!!!
The dealer said they want to inspect everything to make sure everything checks out! They said I could pick it up as soon as Friday evening...but I wanted to wait until Saturday afternoon so I can inspect it in the daylight. (AS HARD AS THE WAITING IS!!!)

Hey... I just picked up my TL yesterday. I decided to go with the NBP with Ebony interior and Navi. I'm so excited! This car is so much faster, not to mention so much COOLER than my old car... BTW, before I got the car, I also used this forum to make a lot of my decisions. Thanks guys
