NEW A-SPEC kit CHEAP!! Vancouver, CANADA

Hi Everyone.

I've asked a few questions before and got great advice. thought I might be able to help some ppl out this time. At least the Canadians. I just bought my front and side A-spec lips for 08 TL at Middlegate Honda in burnaby. 694 taxes in CDN. They are clearing out all their parts/accessories for past model hondas. They didn't have the rear in my colour but they have lots of other colours. Call fast if you want. They said no backorders allowed. Just what they have on hand. It's cheaper than a group buy...at least for us Canadians. Hope this helps somebody.

EDIT: now that I remember, Middlegate was where my mom got her '04 CR-V. I remember those guys for all the bad reasons, man were they dicks over there... 4 years ago at least

Not even that great of a price, plus their ass*holes, took my car in there once, and never bringing it back again. Try Langley Acura, great service + they give great deals too.

It's just FYI. I'm not recommending or disrecommending (if that's a word?) Middlegate. I'm just saying that's where I got mine for what I think is cheap.

mista.huynh : if that is not a good price, please let me know where we can all get a better price. I have not opened the boxes yet and can return them if you got a better deal locally. Also, I'm still in search of the rear kit if you know of a deal let me know.

glad im not the only one who had a horrible experience with Middlegate. When we got our CR-V... we specified. 40KM or less, and they promised that to us (hell it was written on the "unofficial" contract). When we actually got the car, it was like 80km on the clock, so my dad intervined and asked them has it been demoed once or twice, and said that as long as they are honest its fine.

Those SOBs then told us they had to take it out for a professional detail, and get a tank of gas... thats when my dad's asian BS alert box went off. so then they said it was taken from Richmond Honda, but of course, richmond honda was no more than 20km away. We assured them we just wanted an honest answer, but NOOOOOOO they didnt say anything after all that BS, they said to us that they specifically put it at 80km cause asians like that number... and all the shit just went downhill from thereon, ending with my dad yelling at them in Cantonese "damn you lying racists!" we never. ever. went back

BTW im looking for a place to do maintainence for my TL, Langley is a bit far away (Richmond here)... anybody have experience with Richmond, North Shore, or Burrard?

My bad ALS2000, I read it too fast and thought you only got the front lip. Yeah you got a really good deal. I would jump on this deal too, if I had the funds...

The techs at burrard seem ok. Salespeople don't really seem to know their shit, though. I told you that before

Only some parts are on sale, thats how they do it... So basically you will get the front and sides for a sale price and than have to buy a rear for full price kinda thing, or front and rear for sale and sides for full. All depends on base or type-s and colours.

Reading your post makes me think you are confused... he does NOT work for Middlegate Honda, he is merely being a good citizen letting us Vancouver guys know.

I'm going to Lougheed for servicing this weekend on my TL. Middlegate is walking distance from my place. I know there are lots of complaints about the sales (i've had some as well). Haven't had a problem with their service though. I take my civic there.

PM Als and see if he can CANADA POST it over to you lol.
But yeah, my best bet would be to call up middlegate honda http://www.middlegatehonda.com/home.htm and see if they can set anything up for you... or take my first piece of advice and PM Als. as for myself... I am NEVER returning to middlegate, those SOBs

Looks like they reposted the craiglist ad again today. check it out. I do not work for them btw. And yes, I am just being a good citizen

hope this helps. contact info is there. I let some of my friends that drive other hondas/acuras know too. good deals.

I talked to Nathan in parts. apparently he drives a 3G TL also and knew what I was talking about.

Hey ALS2000

I am going to call them this morning when they open to see if they will ship to Toronto. Did you get them to price out the rear skirt as my colour is not on sale?

Middlegate Honda/Acura only try to win you over when they sell you stuff...
At least that was the impression I got from my customers when I had surveyed people for Honda/Acura.

nope, i just bought what was the right color. Did you check with a local dealership? show them the ad. maybe they will match it. there must be some kind of deal from honda canada right now that most dealers are not passing on.

^ Hey guys, just chiming in on this awesome deal. I called Langley Acura this morning and the parts dept. to see if they could price match this (i told them that i wanna give them the sale since i bought my car there, but really it's because middlegate didn't have the sides and rear in my color) the parts dept guy didn't believe me since i mentioned middlegate "Honda". -->He replied "Honda carry Acura accessories?"

Make a long story short, he said unfortunately he can't match the price because that is way too low and told me to jump on this deal. He was gonna charge me $588 for front; $588 for the rears; $700 for sideskirts

Middlegate was gonna charge to paint $400 for the sides and the rear...which is still not bad of a deal, still definitely saving money. For people with NBP, they have many front lips still. Talk to Tom or Nathan!

I'm gonna jump on this anyways...do you guys know of a reputable paint shop here in VanCity...with a good price to go with it? This is totally worth it guys, as long as we get a good deal with painting it as well...it's a steal of a deal!

Thanks ALS2000 for finding this!

Why don't you just buy the front lip from north shore acura for 220...why pay 588?!?
Plus I'm pretty sure the a-spec lips come painted so why are you painting them?

^ NorthShore has it for $220? Dang Langley is a rip off, unless the parts dept. guy is being an a-hole. So, $220 at north shore, $210 at middlegate...hmmmmmm

I'm gonna go to middlegate tomorrow and purchase this. Front lip is same color - so that's cool; the sides and rear are different and Honda quoted me $400 to paint it NBP.

But i calculated it, and i'm still ending up to be on top (savings of $1200) so i'm gonna buy the whole thing and just paint the sides and rear NBP somewhere else for a better deal!...it sux that their inventory is low, but then again, they are trying to get rid of it!

** VANCOUVER PEEPS, HELP A BROTHER OUT **

Ok guys, so i purchased the A-Spec Kit today (Front/rear/sides)...came up to $817 taxes in. The only problem is the color i got is beige, haha - they didn't have NBP anymore, even the front lip (i apologize for my last post when i said there's more NBP front lip...this is what the guy on the phone told me)

The dealership quoted me $430 to paint all of it...is this a good deal or should i look for another place to get a better deal? (Stealership=more $)

I'm just being cheap, i guess, but if you Vancouver peoples know a good shop that does good quality + good job with good price, pls. let me know.

Thanks guys!

The place I got my car repaired at does a great job painting. I actually ended up with a small amount of overspray on my trunk but the paintwork itself is excellent.

http://automindcollision.com/en/

Fairly cheap too; they quoted me ~$200 to colourmatch the front grille, and that includes labour. Should be cheaper for you to paint the parts off the car.
