Cool New Purchase Tips Please

All,

The best price I have gotten so far is 33,320 for the TL Automatic with navigation.
Is this a good price? Tax and Lic not included.

If I can haggle the price down how much lower do you think I can go?

Whats a good out the door price including destination charge, tax and license?

Current finance charge is 4.9, is this good?

What extras might they try to sell me and should I say yes to any of them like extended warranty, etc?

Tips are appreciated.

Where are you at?

There is plenty of threads about pricing. Do some research.

Good luck.

I am in Northern CA but will go to Southern CA for a good price.

I plan to do some research but was hoping for some fast answers all in one place plus I wanted the information to be as up to date as possible.

Thanks

The most you would be able to go would be 500, but hey, 500 is 500.

sign on to www.edmunds.com to find out what prices are in your area. It's been a while since we used it, but I think they ask for zip code and options you want on your car. Then they give you a 'true market value' price which is what other people are paying in your area. You can always try to bargain from there, but Acuras seem to be priced pretty firm.

Have fun!

Although I like Edmunds, and did a lot of research there, their TMV price was too high for my area. I bought my TL for about $500 below their recommended price, and still didn't get as good of a deal as many others I've seen on this Forum. Mine was $33,550 before Tax/Tag (6spd MT w/navi).

In NorCal I got my 5AT/NAV for $33,000 from Jill Pryor at Los Gatos Acura last week. My friend got his car from her a week earlier for about the same price. She's really nice and the dealer was great. Give her a call, she should be able to help you out.

Looks like they are starting to deal even in Cali which is good. That $33,000 is much better than most in Norcal could do six months ago. I have noticed that my dealer in Fresno is loaded with inventory so I'm sure others are as well.

I got an email from Pleasanton last week announcing a sale. You should be able to find just about anything you want for a good price right now. Let people know if you are looking for something specific and dealer can't find it but gives you a good price. I'd be happy to stop in at me dealer and see if they have it for you.

I got my 04 5AT w/navi for $32,200 +ttt. Regardless of dealer location, the TL comes from Acura plant in Maryville, OH and dealer cost for a 05 5AT is $30,929 as it carries a factory holdback of $1056.

Yea but like gas and everything else, market forces dictate prices. Right now 91 octane is $2.799 - $2.949 here; what are you paying?

Prices on TL's (retail) have been best in Florida for whatever reason on this board. Highest prices seem to be in NorCal for whatever reason. I hope everyone can do nearly as good as you did but in this area its' not likely. Also not worth my time to travel 3000 miles to save $800-$1000. I paid just over $34,000 six months ago. Could have saved $1000 by driving nearly 8 hours round trip. The lowest total cost means different things to different people.
