Hey all, I just picked up my first Acura today. A 2006 Acura TL with 80,000 miles. Got a great deal with an extended warranty. I have owned BMW, and Audi before but this is my first Acura.

So...what can I expect? any problems to look out for?

Congrats and welcome.

The only thing that is highly recommended is to maybe go with Redline ATF when doing your next transmission flush.

I don't have any service records so I'll probably take it in to get looked at sometime in the next few days...anything to look for?

Welcome and congrats!

Keep your eye out for cracks on the dashboard and the rear shelf rattling. Besides that you're good to go. Enjoy

Everything seems fine so far..ride is a little bumpy but assume its the tires - probably could use a balance and alignment. Rear speakers also sound blown (or sub). Other than that I'm happy...probably will take a few week of driving to notice any small flaws though.

The sub is probably blown. Mine blew twice then I said the hell with it and just removed it.

worth replacing it? or just disconnecting?

After a quick search I have seen people adding 8 inch JL...is this just a plug and play deal or am I going to need to take it to a shop?

Took the car in for an oil change today and got all filters changed. They said I should change the ATF by 90,000 miles. I will probably do it sooner. I plan on taking it in and getting a user car evaluation where they will inspect every aspect of the car take wheels off etc. its about $100 but I would like to know if anything is wrong or going to go wrong now that I'm not only under the dealer 3 month warranty but also my aftermarket warranty. Car rides a little smoother now that they added air to the tires, but still a bit bumpy, Im guessing it needs to be balanced/alignment. My rear deck does rattle a bit - is there a resolution for this? As far as dashboard cracks, I haven't noticed any. Sub is definitely blown, I have it turned off for now. Only other thing I noticed is the car is a bit slow to start up once you turn the key (cranks a bit then fires up), is this normal?

Thanks for the advice. I can't think of anything else now but I'm sure there will be a few small things I notice.

As for the bumpiness....the TL has a stiff stock suspension. Some like it, others hate it.

I love it
