New Member - need glossary of TL Jargon
Hi all, I am a new member.
Picked up a White 04 TL with 6 spd manual/dynamic package about 3 weeks ago from my local Acura dealer. Vehicle is Acura certified with an extended comprehensive warranty - 6 years/160,000 kms. Car currently has 67,000 kms on the clock and looks/runs like new. I'll be posting photos as soon as I have free time.
Meanwhile, can anyone direct me to a list or glossary of Acura TL jargon used on this site. There are lots of abbreviations that don't mean much to me.
Thanks,
DJ

I dont know of a glossary- most of it I figured out as I went- this being the first forum I really spent time in-
are there specific ones throwing you?
Or is it just the American slang?

Came with the Aspec body kit! Nice!
Most acronyms used on this site are paint colors (like blkaspec mentioned). Others include "everyday acronyms" like IMO, IIRC, etc. Easiest thing to do when you see things that you don't recognize is to them.
BTW, you have a WDP... White Diamond Pearl

Thanks for all the replies...
I guess I will get familiar with the acronyms over time. One that I was wondering about was the "Aspec kit". As far as I know it is referred to as the "Dynamic Package" in Canada. It includes the body kit, bembo brakes, sport suspension, etc.
Others that I'd like to understand are:
J-pipe
AEM CAI
Good idea to Google them.

AEM is a brand, and CAI is cold air intake, which should be one of your first mods
and the j-pipe is usually called something different on other cars, but this site will show you a pic and where it goes:

Nice looking WDP, now that you know what WDP means. I also have the WDP and simply love the color. Tons of great info about our cars in here. This site has saved me a ton of money. I know the Wash and Wax section has a glossary, since they have their own language.

DJ,
The sponsored sales page is actually a pretty decent place to find a lot of acronyms since most refer to things you can buy for your TL.

Welcome to Acurazine. Youve made a good choice my friend. Ya as far as Acurazine jargon, most of it is the paint colors(WDP, NBP, KBP, CBP etc.) you will pick it up as you go. CAI stands for Cold Air Intake. Umm Im sure theres alot more if you have any questions just post and youll get a answer for it. MODDDSSSSS
