Welcome to the forums. I'd say you sound like you're on the right track in terms of mods. I have Tein SS and like them a lot. I also have EDFC on them and I'd really recommend that if you EVER plan to change the dampening on the coils. Being able to change dampening on the fly without taking the back seats off is great. My drop right now is really conservative but I'll be lowering it more in the summer. It has a lot of room left before maxed out.

As far as your other ideas go, ATLP quads are definitely incredibly sexy and the rv6-v3 jpipe is what everyone is recommending (and what I'm gonna get in a bit).

How is the ride on the Tein SS's, fairly comfortable on rougher roads? Def gonna go with the EDFC!

I really like the loook and sound of the ATLP, as for the j-pipe would you go with or without cats, I don't really know alot about these cars exhauts yet and as far as the check engine light coming on without cats?

^no check engine light will come on if you get rid of the 3rd cat...no sensors in the 3rd cat, only in the front/rear precats.

you'll love richies v3 jpipe, trust me. now go get it! he is having another sale soon.

The way our cats are set up is theres 2 catalytic converters right off the engine. These are called "pre cats" here. These are the ones with o2 sensors and do 99% of the emissions. You can swap pre cat deletes in and get good power gains but will be very illegal and if you have emissions checking where you live you will fail. You will throw CEL's if you don't have PCDs with defoulers.

We also have a 3rd catalytic converter right off the jpipe. Richies v3 jpipe is known to be the best because of how long the primaries are, getting rid of the 3rd cat also. This 3rd cat does not have sensors and will not throw a CEL if taken off. It's there only for the ULEV rating and you wont even fail emissions (you MIGHT fail visual if the techs knew to look for it). You can safely get rid of this one without noticing. If you're planning on doing jpipe/race pipe or test pipe combo you might as well just get richies v3 jpipe. If for some reason you want to keep the 3rd cat, ATLP and XLR8 make jpipes that don't delete it.

Hope this helped explain it.

oh just noticed your hidden question about Tein SS in the quote haha. The ride is comfortable to me, especially on full soft. It's still slightly bumpier than stock but I've never had any complaints from passengers. I tend to keep mine on full stiff the whole time but with EDFC you can dial in personal preference.

Yea I'd be down for $420. Hope it's that good. I'm at the point now where I almost want it enough to pay full price. I'm probably going to be tinting my windows in the next week or so (finally 20% all around ) so I'm gonna hesitate but knowing me I won't be able to pass up that jpipe again.

I got too excited to wait until I got home so I pulled out my credit card and bought it just now haha. Sorry for having a side conversation in your thread OP, you should join the club with that jpipe though. I am incredibly excited about it haha, I'm sitting here in the computer lab I work in with a big grin on my face.

You ordered the j-pipe tho? Are you gonna be running it with the stock exhaust or do you have another aftermarket?

Yea I ordered the j-pipe. my exhaust is mostly stock but I have mid muffler delete and dynomax resonator swap (called stage 3 exhaust here). thats the only exhaust based mod I have. My other random mods are AEM V2 CAI, Progress RSB, RV-6 Strut Bar, and of course tein SS + edfc but you already knew about those

My TL is base so if I ever got the money for ATLP Quads I'd have to swap bumpers to type S too. need more cash

ATLP makes one for the base, I'm sure you know that, I'm assuming you want the quad tip look

Yea exactly. I'm not much of a fan of the looks of ATLP base. I might go for rv6 true duals though, exhaust is a long way in the future so we'll see how those pan out.

Thoughts on the ATLP Quad exhaust with or without the resonators coupled with the RV6 V3 j-pipe?

To be honest I was thinking about getting aftermarket wheels, then thought about it and had a couple people say that it would look sick slammed on the stockers, so that's what I'm gonna do. For stock rims they are really nice, who makes them?

Either one of you guys have a rattle in the rear deck, sounds like it's coming from the passenger side...I can't decide yet if it's a possible blown speaker or just the deck rattling

I have rattles all the time, don't think from the deck though. I don't notice it there. My problem is from the passenger side visor and drivers side window lol. rattles always. I just have to turn up the music haha.
