I talked to my dealership for the 2nd time about the 3rd gear problems in the TL.

I had them install the new Acura Transmission fluid. This DOES seem to help the 3rd gear problems. Shifting does seem smoother, it didnt TOTALLY get rid of it but its only happened once since I got it put in. I also have the short shifter installed.

Generally with any SS, it makes shifting a bit rougher.

My dealership installed it for free so maybe your local one will do the same. I think my dealership was interested in the results so thats why they did it.

It probably would have fixed the 3rd gear grind if you didnt have the SSK. Mine went away when i put the GMSFM in. It came back slightly when I put the SSK in. The Corsport bushings supposed to fix it after the SSK. You should give those a shot also.
