New '08 Base TL Owner... Help me build!

Hey all. New to these forums, and car customization in general.

I've got a few ideas if everyone wants to help me out and help me get the build going. I'll end up posting a progress thread once I get the roadmap all set.

I have a completely stock gray Acura TL 2008 Base.

Anyways, here is what I'd like to do:

Type S rear Bumper (Possibly front too, but that is low on priority list unless the price is low)

XLR8 Quad Exhaust

Lowering about one inch, to accommodate some new wheels.

I'm hoping to get it all done for $3K.

I'm currently looking at a TL-S OE Rear Bumper assembly for $625. It is already painted to match my car's color (it's coming from a salvage vehicle.) I'm wondering if this a cost effective way to go about doing this, or if it would be better to buy a new part from a vendor and get it painted.

Please give me your feedback all, really excited for this.

the only way it is cost effective is if you get hit and insurance covers the bumpers.

that or......

if you know some one selling their car, swap bumpers.

p.s. I scored my type-s rear bumper for $140 used from a friend. She had an extra bumper because the one she sold me had slight imperfections, which I can live with.
sold my base bumper for $100.

How did you get a rear type-s bumper for $140!? Anywhere even near that would be the best case scenario... leaves so much of the budget left for other customization...

Do what I did.. I have a 08 base model also.

I purchased a Type-S ASPEC rear lip (not the bumper) from AckTL05 for about $275. Installed it on my base 08 bumper after having to do some cutting.

End results

Very nice looking car. Was it pre-painted? If not how much was the painting? I'm interested. Does that member sell the A Spec lip or was this a one time deal?

All oem ASPEC parts come painted from factory.

AckTL05 is a acura parts vendor on this website. He can get you just about any oem acura parts for you for a good price. He sells ASPEC kits for $765 I believe.

He also sells the pieces individually which is how I got the rear Type-S lip.
