New 04 TL Owner

This isn't my first post, but it seems proper protocol has been established to include a formal introduction, sooo

I just recently purchased a 2004 Satin Silver Metallic 6MT w/Navi. I had recently sold two cars and had been eyeing the TL for a while. I finally found one at a good price and ended up flying to Ohio (from Massachusetts) to check it out and make the purchase final. I had it shipped to my house to keep from eating up the miles. Bought it with 49,8 on the dash, so i was nervous about driving it so close to the warranty end period.
Due to the wealth of info on this site, i was able to secure an extended warranty thru acura care (Curry) for short money compared to what the dealer wanted. All that just to find out that the factory warranty had been extended 2k miles due to some odometer discrepancy.
All in all i really like the car. I have a sneaking suspicion the previous owner may have been an a-ziner as my interior lights, door lights and trunk light are all LED blue. Also the clamp on the air cleaner where it connects to the TB was not OEM. The cleaner actually had a "slice" in it and the car was throwin a CEL for "front bank too lean". The dealer wouldn't warranty the cleaner cuz they realized the clamp was not OEM as well. The fix was short money so i wasn't too annoyed.
I'm lookin forward to modding the car, but i'm not sure what the warranty restriction are. I'm really interested in tightening the car up as my previous car was stiff as hell (92 Accord EX with Tein HA, Upper strut braces, lower tie rod, 2" drop, camber kit, etc...) Any suggestions for suspension upgrades would greatly be appreciated. I just gotta figure out if it will void the warranty. I'm also thinking that a set of Racing Hart RS-721 in silver would look good against the exterior color.
So far i'm really happy with the purchase and look forward to learning the ins and outs of the car doing some upgrades. This is a great site and i think i can learn alot here...I'll post pics when i get a chance...

Congrats fellow 6MT/Navi !

Go easy on the mods, some of them can create more BS than they're worth. Lowering the car too much can make you more susceptable to bottoming out.

Since you're in the North, start with a good set of tires. I highly recommend the Goodyear Eagle F1 All Seasons. You might want to replace the 20mm rear stabilizer bar with a 22 or 24mm version that'll give you more stability around turns. Since your color is silver, consider getting the 2007 turn signal mirrors.

Good luck with it ................

Thanks,
I was going to get those exact tires, but a friend gave me "an offer i couldn't refuse" on some Yokohama Avid H4s's and a four wheel alignment. As far as the stabilizer bar, which manufactuer(s) should i look into? Wait...don't tell me...use the search button right?... I'll do the same for the 2007 turn signal mirror upgrade...
Thanks for the advice DMZ

Because silver is still a current color so the mirror wouldn't have to be painted.

Do i need to have the mirror installed by a dealer in order to maintain the validity of the warranty?
