NBP Owners - Yes to 3M ClearBra?
So as some of you know, I was recently fortunate to have my insurance company pay for a brand new paint job! I'd been hit twice (hit and run) and then sandblasted a few times on the freeway (SEVERELY)...
SO my question: From what I've heard, the 3M ClearBra is good on LIGHT colored cars, but eventually fades and becomes almost YELLOW sometime down the line. No go for Black/Dark colored cars?
Thanks ALL!!!

Being covered in rock chips now, I would recommend it, wish I did. Be sure you get it done by a reputable shop otherwise it will look like ass.
In terms of the yellowing, I think they have like a 5 year life. And you have to keep it waxed with a synthetic sealant. I believe.
Anyone can correct me

It's my understanding that the 3M Clear Bra no longer has yellowing issues - it was the first iterations that had that problem. I have it on my NBP '05 TL and am pretty happy. Can you see the line? Yes, but it's not really noticeable unless you look up closely (6-7 feet or closer). However, as the car gets dirtier, the line becomes more visible. I wash my car once every one or two weeks so it's not a problem for me. Finally, good installers will offer a lifetime warranty so be sure to ask. Good luck!

I have the 3m Clear Bra on the front end of my 06 NBP like said above not really noticeable unless you are very close to it. Have had it on my car for 2 years now and haven't had one problem with it at all. Definately a good investment for a black car let alone any car.

If I had my front end repainted, which I'm actually thinking of doing b/c of rock chips, I'd run to get a clear bra installed.

Def worth it..i got it done, and I propose only a pro do it. It cost me about $600, with lifetime warranty. Its really a must have if you care about the well being of the front and intend in keeping the vehicle for a long time...do it

I balked at doing it when my 06 NBP was brand new due to the $700 price and I didn't really know a place that could do it - although I didn't search that hard. Looking at my front end 31K miles later, it might have been worth the investment. I drive a good amount of highway miles on some of the toughest roads in NYC (LIE, BQE) and my front end is BATTERED. I still shines and looks nice from a distance, but up close - DAMN. I would say if you can find a good shop to do it, it might be worth it on an NBP...
