Has anyone tried replacing their stock OEM 12v 60w Sylvania DRL bulbs with Narva Range Power 9005 bulbs which are also 12v 60w. I know the DRL lights run at half voltage causing them to appear dim. Was just wondering if anyone had tried this. The bulb temperature kelvin rating is 4500k on the Narvas as opposed to the Sylvanias which are 3200k I believe. I just wonder if this would make much of a difference from the dark yellow to maybe a little whiter light color with less yellow. Or is it pretty much going to look the same because of the voltage? Just looking for a cheap mod since you lose your highbeams with LEDs and they dont seem reliable with all the flicker, brightness, longevity issues. Let me know what you guys think.

No, but I would recommend the ijdmtoy led drl kit all day. Mine is probably closing in on a year of use with not a single issue. Real easy DIY as well thanks to member the machine.

Our TL have bixenon headlights meaning the low beam HIDs also serve as high beams.

where did you get the assumption that you will lose high beam capability?
Our daytime running light bulbs serve only one purpose and that's to be DRL bulbs only
