My RSX-S vs Buddies 2010 TL SH-AWD (Auto)

Heres a race between me and my friends 2010 TL.
He has a CAI, and his wife in the passenger seat.

I have a 06' RSX - S.
-Short Ram Intake
-Racing Header
-Tanabe Exhaust
-Engine Mounts

Heres our race from a dig, its from his car. Sorry, you have to til your head 90 degrees to the left.

By the way,

before I had my Racing Header and Motor Mounts he always won

So stock vs stock the TL would take it.

I think it would be a lot closer if your friend could drive automatic ..

He hit the rev limiter in 2nd and it sounds like he let off a little bit in 3rd making the gap pretty large.

No doubt in my mind an RSX-S could take an auto TL SHAWD, but you guys should do another run while he's in full auto.

We've done like 15+ runs hah. Just didn't video tape all of them.
I take him every single time (From a roll or dig) except when I mess up my launch.
From a roll he's usually within 1 car length of me, and its a very close race.

Get a cold air intake. You'd be much happier. Oh, and a KPro tune you'd extend the gap another 2-3 cars.

nice kill.
i had an encounter with a rsx-s with unknown mods and it was a really close race i creeped on him slowly after 60mph. the race was from a 10 mph roll to about 100mph
i was surprised those rsx's are pretty quick cars

great run! those rsx-s are darn fast fully bolted on. i remember fan's tl-s 6mt (didn't have atlp's at the time) pulled away from a fully bolted on rsx-s (w/ tune) from a dig, but only by a car's length and a half!

Wow, pretty surprised at the outcome you look like your a good driver. I used to have a base 5 speed RSX with a few mods. Fun car.

you are right he did hit the rev limiter.

but the part where he let off in 3rd is due to a delay in the engine cpu.

For some reason my car does the same thing and everyone else with a RL. You can floor it all the way through third gear and the engine lets off for a half of a second and keeps going. Strange i know lol

We did some more races the other day with no passengers, he had no spare tire and I put mine back in to see how much weight would effect it. So probably about a 200 pounds difference between his passenger and my spare tire.

He kept up a lot better, we were pretty much neck and neck the whole way.
