Just moved to Irvine and look how I get welcomed.

Story:
Traffic light turns green, people slowly start to start going (there is lots of traffic), some dumb lady in a camry RAMS into me suddenly. I was totally stunned at first didn't even realize what happened exactly.

Basically, the bumper looks dislodged and it's just hanging low and is scratched up and is of course not aligned with my trunk or the rest of the damn car now.

This happens the day I forget my phone

To top it off, the stupid lady is not even remotely apologetic but disgustingly snappy while I'm getting her info. I hope all of the insurance BS goes through smoothly and that my car is repaired soon/asap on her idiotic tab.

Yes I know I'm going to get the "this thread is worthless without pics" flame but I don't have the heart to go out and snap one now.

the wolf in sheep's clothing strikes again as the wdp curse continues.my rear is still macked up so don't feel bad. That sucks though. is it at least drivable? Don't worry even macked up it's still sexy........

btw had to, i def feel you though,i don't even wanna wash mine. I don't know how severe your rear bumper damage is but mine popped off when I got hit and I popped it right back on(took some playing with but I got it.)might need some foreplay before it pops. Take some before pics or wait for adjuster just for ins purposes though........

I know how you feel man. I just went through the same thing, though yours sounds worse than mine. Most likely they will replace the bumper cover (if broken) and repaint it, but insist that they perform an inspection on everything (frame, what is under the bumper cover, exhaust, etc).

Good luck with the insurance. Hopefully your company will take care of you. You'll have to be patient when working with insurance companies.

Hopefully you can find a reputable shop that will paint match WDP (I heard its one of the hardest colors to match). You might want to perform a search for an old thread by a member named davenlei. He lives around your area and had good reviews on his shop. Yelp.com is also a good resource.

dude i had two jackass's drop a yamaha 600r on my bike and when i went out n said something, they go "Nah fam dat aint from us" n im thinkin y am i wasting my time with two hopeles hoodlooms. but it really pissed my off that they drop it on my door and deny it..i was ready to hurt both of them when my cuz told jus F them, u can get it fix for nothing.

My A-Spec lip actually suffered the most damage. It saved the bumper from getting replaced.

Bro i got rammed by an off duty cop as I waited to make a u turn and she had the nerve to say I didn't signal... She was doing well over the posted 30mph speed limit... I gassed it to get out of the intersection all together, rather than dodge me, she slammed her brakes and caused the car to slide towards my direction, then all my air bags on the driver side deployed... $11k's later and my baby is back...

All I can say is that atleast ur bumper will match the rest of the car now

Darn...it the season for our TL to get rear ended.

I was just involved in a rear ender on 10/28/2007 and got a estimate on 10/30/07 and it cost $509.10 for a repair. The person who estimated it said the damage looks repairable and they might not get a new cover. My lower bumper is scraped and dented, also where the bumper is bolted to the car is cracked (Behind the 2 cover). They said they can use glue to repair that part and sand and buff the indents and outdents.

I gave the freaking lady that hit me to pay a choice out of pocket or insurance. After, trying to get her to pay me for weeks. I got fed up yesterday and called their insurance. By the way, she gave me the wrong policy # ..I had to do some investigating to get the right one. Thats another story.

Geico just called me a few hours ago and said it was their fault and they are going to cover the repair. So, Im just doing research for a good body shop. My biggest worry is the paint not matching up.

sorry to burst your bubble, but so far i have had only one story of paint matching after repair. problem? OVERSPRAY!

you have to take it to a decent shop, not a trusted mechanic, but a guy with the skill and expertise

Any shop that allows over-spray isn't a professional shop but a backyard want-to- be body-shop without adequate facilities..... I've painted cars in my garage that looked better than many shops.
- Over-spray shouldn't have any effect on the paint matching. Rather just a PITA mess over the rest of the car etc.. Paint not matching is normally the result of improper mixing, poor choice of primer/color, improper lay of the paint/pearl-flake, or tooooo much flex additive.

My wdp got hit in the back about a week ago. Some guy in a pick up truck not paying attention in ATL traffic and caught me in the back. thankfully no one was hurt and I was able to get back in it in about 2 weeks time.
