For my fellow 6MT peers...

Do you still have the OE shift knob or did you replace it with an aftermarket knob? I ask this because I'm looking at replacing my worn OE shift knob but can't decide which direction I should go for. I've been looking at the one below but I'm worried that I'd have to replace the shift boot as well since the OE boot is held onto the OE knob. Anyone got any suggestions?

For those with aftermarket knobs, post pics of your setup!

You don't have to replace the boot. You'll have to take your shifter assembly apart, get underneath the boot, and put zip-ties on the shifter stalk to support the shift boot.

My favorite shift knob is the Maven. The one you're looking at is going to fade due to sun exposure over time.

My '04 manual's shift knob looks pristine. Not only that but I've really liked it since day one.

Mine would look prestine as well except for the fact that I'm a picker. Knob had a bubble on the silver top portion, so I decided to pop it. It also probably didn't help that I kept peeling off small portions of it while waiting in traffic.

I had a similar knob on one of other rides, but it got too cold in the Winter, wher I had to actually drive with gloves and forget about being hot in the Summer...look wise was "cool"...

That seems like one of the advantages of the OE knob. I've never had a problem with it being too cold or hot. I'm really liking the Maven knob though. Can anyone chime in regarding how it feels and any sort of nuisance accompanied by it?
