Some loser hit me in a college parking lot and (big shocker here) didn't bother to stick around or leave a note. I filed a report with security but they can't really do anything and nobody stepped up that saw it happen, so basically I'm screwed. I got the touch up paint from the dealer for free but I'm not sure if I should even attempt to bang this out and touch it up. I went to a body shop and he estimated at around $600-$700.









My rim got scratched in 3 places


Damn, looking at these pics makes me think I'm about to be out $600-$700.

NY is the worst for hit and runs and dings. I got a huge one on the driver's door of MY CL a couple of years back. I feel for you.

Why are all the pics out of focus? The only sharp ones are the front view that doesn't show damage and the wheel?!?

Someone just scape my back bumper right now after getting out of the spot. I see all silver color & black right above the left exhaust...The spot is tight but he manage to get in but has to scape me to get out ***FUCKING idots**** I know it was a silver Corolla....I'm so pissed off right now....

I would F'n go right back to the parking lot where it happened on the same day of the week at the same time and patrol the parking lot for Silver Corrolas. Very simple solution to the problem. I have busted two different people in the past with this method and both had my paint on their cars. In grocery stores and wal-mart parking lots you are screwed, but at a college campus parking lot would be so simple to bust someone. Chances are if they are in college and most of all if they are driving Corrollas they are broke so asking for money will not help. your revenge is your business. I simple made are reconnisance look to the left and right and implanted the heel of my shoe into thier drivers door. trust me " what goes around comes around"!! The dents that I made could only be replaced by a new door. Make sure that it is your paint on the enemys car and simply call the police.

Sorry to hear/see that. Pretty piss poor that the person responsible didn't leave note or stick around. Hopefully they will seek you out and make it right.

Yeah I'm right across the river from Newburgh. Thanks for the advice on the body shop but my dealer set me up with a shop that's clearing up my acid rain damage. I figure I'll let them fix my dent as well since they have a good reputation and they're right down the road from me.

Tomorrow will be exactly one week since I got hit. I'll be in the parking lot tomorrow, around the same time I got hit, for about an hour or so looking at white cars. Only thing is even if I find the car with a dented/scraped left bumper what can I really do about it? I can always tell security but I doubt they'll do anything. I can also kick the hell out of the car like cdkruaya already stated but with my luck I'll get caught and end up shelling out even more money. I've resorted to parking much further away and hiking it just to reduce the risk of being hit but it seems like that's not really going to work either. Yesterday I parked at the end of the lot where no other cars were and wouldn't you know it, some asshole comes flying into the spot right next to me, skidded and everything! I'm not going to take up two spots either because then it's just like I'm asking for it. I just can't win with this crowd.
